An Adams County sheriff’s deputy was taken to a hospital Saturday afternoon after he crashed his car on Interstate 70 while chasing burglary suspects.

The crash has blocked left lanes on eastbound I-70 ahead of the Central Park Boulevard exit. Drivers should expect delays, the Colorado Department of Transportation said in a tweet.
The deputy’s injuries were minor, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet.
Deputies responded to a burglary in progress in the 5800 block of Broadway and pursued the suspects, a sheriff’s tweet stated. The pursuit ended on I-70 near Havana Street with a collision. A male and a female were taken into custody.
