Ana de Armas is embracing single life.
The “Blonde” actress, 37, is no longer dating Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban president Miguel DÃaz-Canel Bermúdez, a source told People.
Their relationship first became public in November 2024 when the pair were photographed kissing in Madrid. They were last seen together a month later, also in Spain. Since then, the two have reportedly split and have not made any public appearances together.
No Romance Between de Armas & Cruise, Insider Says
While de Armas and Tom Cruise have recently been spotted together several timesâincluding a yacht outing near Menorca, a birthday walk in London, and an appearance at David Beckhamâs 50th birthday partyâthe source confirms that their dynamic is strictly professional.
âThe dynamic between the two is not romantic,â the source said.
When they were first photographed together in February, a separate insider told People the two actors were âdiscussing potential collaborationsâ at a dinner with their agents and âappeared to have no romantic connection, just friends.â
A source close to the actress says she is now âfocused entirely on work,â particularly as she gears up for her first onscreen collaboration with Cruise in the upcoming thriller “Deeper.”
De Armas, best known for roles in “Knives Out” and “No Time to Die,” expressed excitement about the project, which she has called âan opportunity of a lifetime.â According to the insider, âTom is crazy hardworking and sheâs very excited to work with him.â
The source added, âTom is an incredible mentor to Ana. She has nothing but amazing things to say about him.â
Past Relationships & Current Focus
Before her brief romance with Anido Cuesta, de Armas was linked to Tinder executive Paul Boukadakis, per Page Six. Prior to that, she dated “Deep Water” co-star Ben Affleck from March 2020 until January 2021, when they reportedly ended their relationship on amicable terms.
As de Armas prepares to film “Deeper” she continues to receive public support from Cruise. âIt is very special that someone like him is supporting [Ballerina],â de Armas told Variety. âIt is really special in general to have other actors and people supporting each other. We can do well all together.â
Though appreciative of professional praise, de Armas also acknowledged the downside of public attention. âI have never been someone that wants any attention thatâs not about my work,â she said. âSo, when the attention is not about my work, it is upsetting, and it feels disrespectful, and it feels inappropriate â and it feels dangerous and unsafe.â
Representatives for both de Armas and Cruise declined People’s request for comment.
