Lily Allen has been snapped on a cosy London date with a mystery man, for the first time since the release of her album West End Girl.
The singer, 40, released her scathing album West End Girl in October, which explored the collapse of a marriage and her divorce from Stranger Things star David Harbour.
Since the album’s release, Lily confirmed her relationship status as a single woman, as she confirmed she is ‘not in a relationship’ right now.
However, the singer may well be dipping her toe in the dating pool as she was spotted out for a one-on-one dinner with a mystery man in West London’s Michelin-star restaurant, Dorian.
The pair was snapped enjoying two hours eating and drinking, and left the restaurant separately. It was reported that the mystery man could be writer Jonah Freud, who is the grandson of Rupert Murdoch and great-nephew of Lucian Freud.
This is the first time since her album was released that she has been spotted on what could be a date.
In June, Lily was spotted at a festival with James Norton, best known for his starring role in Happy Valley, but also now one of the favourites in the running to play James Bond.
The pair were spotted at Lido Festival in London, which was headlined by acts including Massive Attack, Jamie xx, Charli XCX and London Grammar.
Body language expert Judi James told Metro that she suspected the pair were on a first date.
‘The body language here does suggest this is a date ,but it looks very much like a first date, when two people are maybe still just claiming to be friends,’ she explained at the time.
‘There’s some mutually polite smiling here but it’s undirected smiling with some coy-looking smiles as they both look down rather than exchanging smiles with each other, using eye contact.’
A source had told The Sun that the pair were ‘together for the day and were chatting and laughing together as they watched Charli XCX’.
In her new album, Lily detailed the reasons behind their split, including how their open relationship became derailed when her husband ‘broke the rules’ of their arrangement.
Lily sang of their arrangement: ‘be discreet and don’t be blatant / it had to be with strangers / there had to be payment.’ And named ‘Madeline’ – who is actually costume designer Natalie Tippet – as the woman David became involved with.
Salaciously, Lily also sings about Harbour’s New York apartment, which she nicknames ‘Pussy Palace’, where she ‘found a shoebox full of handwritten letters /From brokenhearted women wishing you could have been better’.
The Not Fair hitmaker also says she found a bag full of ’sex toys, butt plugs, and lube inside’, while criticising Harbour’s ‘double life’.
Metro has reached out to Lily Allen’s representatives for comment.
