ANTIOCH – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision Thursday night in Antioch, police said.
The crash happened just after 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Marie Avenue and East 18th Street, Antioch police Lt. Gary Lowther said in a news release. Officers arrived to find the victim down in the roadway.
Lowther said the victim, identified only as a 60-year-old Antioch woman, received medical aid but died at the scene.
The police department’s traffic unit is investigating the crash.
