Victoria Beckham has extended a festive olive branch to son Brooklyn amid persistent reports of a ‘feud’ between the family.

Rumours of a rift between Brooklyn, 26, and his parents first began circulating when he and wife Nicola Peltz failed to attend dad David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations in March.

While a source hinted that Brooklyn was keen to patch things up with his father, things only escalated from there, with the model and aspiring chef fueling rumours by reportedly blocking brothers Cruz and Romeo on social media, and covering up a tattoo dedicated to his mum.

In August, Brooklyn and Nicola celebrated their marriage with a secret vow renewal… minus his family.

In the wake of of Victoria’s Netflix documentary, the family seemed to have taken tentative steps toward reconciliation, with David and Victoria now reportedly keen to ‘move on’ from what has happened.

In a new video to her Instagram Stories, Victoria seems to have reached out to their son by sharing a festive-themed post.

In the short video, Victoria shares a glimpse of all the family Christmas stockings hanging over the family hearth in mum Jackie Adams’ home.

These included Brooklyn’s three siblings, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, as well as stockings for Victoria’s nieces and nephews, Liberty, Tallulah, Finlay and Quincy.

‘Sooooo many granchildren!’ reads the caption, with Victoria tagging in her mum, Jackie.

Pictured among the embroidered stockings is one for Brooklyn, proving that the family are still thinking of their eldest son, even during this fraught time.

According to The Mirror, Brooklyn’s grandparents – who include David’s mother, Sandra Georgina West – are particularly affected by the rift.

‘David and Victoria are coming to terms with not having Brooklyn around as much, they’re saddened but they’re accepting it,’ a source said.

‘But it’s the grandmothers who are really feeling it. They adore Brooklyn; they had such a close bond with him. He loved them dearly, now they don’t see him.’

‘They’re not getting any younger, and the harsh reality is that no one knows when they’ll see Brooklyn next. It’s Jackie and Sandra who everyone feels for amidst this family divide.’

This comes after Brooklyn and Nicola are also said to be considering making amends – although they’ll want ‘a substantive and public apology from his parents’ first.

Of the feud, a source told the Daily Mail: ‘Things got really so bad. There is nothing which Brooklyn or Nicola did that would have deserved this treatment,’

‘It is hard to understand the intensity and the escalation [of the media stories]. It seems that they thought they could heap abuse on Nicola without any consequence. They did not let up.’

This follows claims that a close aide of Brooklyn’s parents allegedly briefed the press with ‘untrue or out of context’ stories that were ‘intended to demonise and upset them.’

The Mail’s source continued: ‘There was a public trashing which kept on going. Someone should have told them to stop because it was not in their best interest to do this to their own son, but nobody did.

‘There is an obvious first step which would be a public acknowledgement [by David and Victoria] of what they did, and an apology. It cannot be a performative thing. There is no realistic chance of a reconciliation without that happening first.’

Meanwhile, a source told Metro: ‘David and Victoria have always wanted the feud with Brooklyn to be resolved.

‘They’d love to have him back in the picture but feel as if there are things to hash out in their relationship.

‘They want to move forward as a family and could be open to hearing Brooklyn’s side of things.’

This week, David reflected on his own parenting, describing his children as ‘polite,’ ‘well-mannered’ and ‘humble.’

‘I would like to say that I brought my children up with the same values as what my dad and mum taught me and my sisters,’ he said on James Corden’s This Life of Mine podcast.

He continued: ‘My kids are very polite. My kids are very well-mannered. My kids are humble and they all have the same values as what I have and my wife has.

‘That’s the proudest thing that we have as parents, in all honesty.’
