Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews is celebrating a major life milestone while uncertainty continues to surround his future with the franchise. Andrews and his longtime girlfriend, Elena Yates, announced their engagement on Friday with a joint Instagram post.
“Best night ever. I’m the luckiest girl ever!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Yates wrote alongside video footage of Andrews dropping to one knee. The moment, set to Frank Sinatra’s “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” appeared to take place in their home in front of a Christmas tree and fireplace.
Andrews posted his own message as well, writing, “I love you forever.”
The engagement came just one day after Baltimore’s 32-14 loss to the Bengals on Thanksgiving, a game in which Andrews also broke another major franchise record.
Mark Andrews Shared an Emotional Message for His Fiancée
Following the announcement, Yates shared a photo on Monday of a floral arrangement Andrews sent with a handwritten note.
“Elena, I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” Andrews wrote. “You’re my peace, my joy and the person who makes every day feel brighter. Loving you has become the best part of my life. I love you.”
Yates, a New Jersey native and influencer, graduated from the College of Charleston where she studied marketing and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She has regularly appeared on the sidelines at Ravens games and often shares behind-the-scenes moments with Andrews on social media.
The 30-year-old tight end has made history this season. Andrews is now Baltimore’s all-time receptions leader, passing multiple franchise records with his four-catch performance on Thanksgiving. He is also first in yards (5,862) and receiving touchdowns (56), cementing his status as one of the most productive players in team history.
Andrews’ Engagement Comes as His Ravens Future Remains Uncertain
Despite the celebration in his personal life, the Ravens enter Week 14 facing major questions about their roster. Baltimore’s 2025 season has been a roller coaster. After starting 1-5, the team rattled off five straight wins before a deflating loss to Cincinnati. The Ravens are now fighting to stay alive in the AFC playoff picture.
Even bigger decisions loom this offseason.
Andrews is one of several key Baltimore playmakers set to hit free agency in 2026. His production has remained valuable, recording 37 catches for 332 yards and five touchdowns through 12 games this season, but the franchise must make difficult decisions at the tight end position. Andrews, Isaiah Likely, and Charlie Kolar are all without contracts next season.
At 30, Andrews is the group’s veteran. He has tallied 473 receptions for 5,862 yards and 57 touchdowns in 116 career games, earning three Pro Bowl selections and an All-Pro nod. But the emergence of Likely and Kolar has raised questions about whether Andrews is entering his final stretch with Baltimore.
Multiple signs point toward a roster overhaul. The Ravens could retain Andrews, but it may come at the cost of re-signing their younger playmakers. There are cap options, restructures, and extensions that could keep him in Baltimore, but the front office will have to decide whether to prioritize youth or rely on Andrews’ continued chemistry with Lamar Jackson.
Baltimore enters Week 14 at 6-6 and will host the Steelers (6-6) on Sunday in a crucial AFC matchup.
