Ana Burilovic from CU Buffs volleyball named AVCA first team All-Region

Ana Burilovic was the lone Colorado Buffaloes volleyball player named to the 2025 American Volleyball Coaches Association All-West Region team on Tuesday.

Burilovic landed first-team honors, as the only Buffs player honored among the 14-player first team and six-player honorable mention list.

Burilovic, a junior outside hitter from Croatia, became the first CU player since 2022 to earn first team all-conference honors after leading the Big 12 points per set (5.47) and kills per set (4.71). Burilovic recorded 13 20-kill games with a pair of 30-kill games, becoming just the second Buffs player in team history to reach 30 kills twice in a season.

Burilovic became the 19th CU player to reach the 1,000-kills mark in her career while leading the Buffs to a 23-9 record and a berth in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. She is the 30th all-region honoree in program history and the first to receive first-team all-region honors since Alexa Smith and Naghede Abu in 2018.

After defeating American University in the first round, CU’s season ended with a second-round loss against Indiana.
