Stereophonics drummer Jamie Morrison was rushed to hospital minutes before he was due on stage with rock band 86TVs on Monday evening.
The 41-year-old – who drums for both bands – was set to take to the stage at Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms when he was abruptly taken to hospital.
86TVs – who announced the news on their social media – have cancelled the remainder of their tour.
‘Dear Friends,’ the Modern Life singers began. ‘We had quite a dramatic day yesterday when, minutes before doors opened in Nottingham, Jamie was rushed into hospital.
‘He is still in there and has been strongly advised by doctors to not attempt to do the shows this week.
‘Huge apologies to anyone who has made plans for these shows, especially with long distance travel.

‘We know there are a number of you that have had plans around this for a long time and were planning on sending off this record with us this week.
‘We love you and thank you for all the support. Please contact your point of purchase to arrange a refund.’
On Monday evening, the doors had opened and fans flocked into the Nottingham venue to see the band, but at 7.41pm they announced on social media the gig would have to be cancelled with just 50 minutes until they were due on stage.
‘We are so sorry to say that tonight’s show has been cancelled due to a medical emergency. We hope you all understand we wouldn’t do this at this time if it wasn’t an absolute necessity,’ they said, promising more news in due course.
Jamie’s condition is unclear, and the reason for his urgent hospital trip was also not detailed by the band.
Fans took to social media to wish the noughties drummer well, asnickyrr70 said: ‘Sending you get well love, Jamie ❤️❤️ Take care and we’ll be ready for part two of the dream tour when you are xxx.’
nett.wright added: ‘So sorry to read that you were taken ill yesterday at Nottingham. Sending you all the healing vibes for a speedy recovery.
Thank you also for taking the time to sign your book for me.
Hope you’re up and about soon.’

The band had almost completed their 2024 tour after the release of their self-titled debut album, and they were due to perform in Manchester, Bristol, London, Cambridge and Leeds this week before ending on December 1.
Jamie is a member of 86TVs along with former The Maccabees stars Hugo and Felix White, and their brother Will.
He is scheduled to perform with Welsh rockers The Stereophonics on their 2025 Stadium Anthems tour next year, which will be their biggest ever stadium hop.
The drummer originally burst into the noughties indie scene with The Noisettes – who had smash hit Never Forget You – before he left the band in 2010 after seven years.
He then joined The Stereophonics in 2012, before taking on 86TVs in 2022.
Outside of music, Jamie also released his debut novel in September called Wonderboy and The Life & Times of Drewford Alabama.
