<p id=”par-3_45″>“In true Amy fashion, she got married on Halloween! Here’s a sneak peek of her and Brian’s special day,” TLC shared on <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DQfoQWJj529/?img_index=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a>, along with a photo of the beaming bride and groom, as well as a snap of Amy with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/1000-lb-sisters-star-tammy-slaton-hits-major-milestone.html/”>her sister, Tammy Slaton</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-4_55″>Brian and Amy said their vows at Talbott Tavern, a historic – and possibly haunted – restaurant and inn in Bardstown, Kentucky. It was built in 1779 and is supposedly the oldest western stagecoach stop in America. One of the ghosts who is <a href=”https://talbotttavern.com/ghost-encounters/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>said to haunt</a> the inn is that of legendary outlaw Jesse James.</p>

<p id=”par-5_66″>Amy’s desire for a Halloween wedding caused conflict in the most recent season of <em>1000-lb Sisters. </em>In the season 7 finale, an emotional Amy broke down over her family’s objections to her choice of a venue. Initially, Amy had expressed interest in getting married at a supposedly haunted Waverly Hills Sanatorium. Several of her siblings balked at the idea of attending a ceremony at that location. </p>
<p id=”par-6_24″>“You’re right, I don’t want to go to your f*cking wedding if it’s at a goddamn haunted location with demons,” Tammy told her sister. </p>
<p id=”par-7_16″>Previously, Tammy had warned Amy about rushing into another marriage, telling her she should “slow down.” </p>
<p id=”par-8_29″>It’s not clear if all of Amy’s family attended her wedding, but it appears that Tammy was able to overcome her objections to visiting a haunted spot for event. </p>
<p id=”par-9_27″>In a statement to <a href=”https://people.com/1000-lb-sisters-star-amy-slaton-marries-brian-lovvorn-halloween-wedding-exclusive-11837697″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>, Amy said her “old-timey” wedding – which will be seen on the next season of <em>1000-lb Sisters </em>– was everything she wanted. </p>
<p id=”par-10_16″>“My wedding is a dream finally coming true,” she said “I’m getting my happily ever after!”</p>
<p id=”par-11_11″>However, she hinted at some conflict leading up to her nuptials. </p>
<p id=”par-12_74″>“I deeply cherished the journey of wedding planning, embracing the art and location hunting, but selecting bridesmaids and groomsmen proved to be a profound challenge,” she said, adding that she tapped a friend rather than a sibling to be her maid of honor. “”Yet I intuitively knew that my extraordinary friend Ollisha [Davis] (Lee Lee) would graciously accept the esteemed honor of being my maid of honor, even before I extended the heartfelt invitation.” </p>
