What’s the most ridiculous TV show you’ve ever watched?

Is it something like Riverdale, which got sillier every season? What about Supernatural? That show killed its main characters every other episode!

Could it be the dating show I Wanna Marry ‘Harry’, which tricked a group of women into believing they were going to marry the real Prince Harry?

Well, if the good people of Reddit are to be believed, the most ridiculous TV show ever is none other than Yellowstone.

Created by Taylor Sheridan, the series lasted for five seasons (2018-2024) and followed the trials and tribulations of the Dutton family and their cattle ranch.

Still, it turns out that while people might find the plot of Yellowstone sillier than a rodeo clown who graduated top of his class from Oxford for Clowns, they’re still obsessed with the Duttons.

How else can you explain the latest viewing figures for the newest Yellowstone sequel, Dutton Ranch?

According to Paramount Plus’s data (Via Variety), the first two episodes of the series reached 12.9 million views within seven days of their release.

These astounding figures mean that Dutton Ranch is now the biggest Paramount Plus launch ever – knocking Mobland and its meagre 8.8 million viewers off the top spot.

Dutton Ranch continues the story of Beth(Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) following the end of Yellowstone season 5.

The series picks up after a wildfire destroys their Montana ranch, and the couple buys their own farmstead in southern Texas.

Any hope the new generations of Duttons had for finding peace is quickly torn apart, however, when they come into conflict with local criminals.

Unlike Yellowstone, which fans had lost faith in by its fifth season, Dutton Ranch is impressing viewers.

‘I got up at 1:45 am to watch,’ wrote Jalynt13 on Reddit.

‘It was well worth it. It definitely has the Yellowstone vibe. It’s like they took all the great scenes from Yellowstone in this show. Whereas Yellowstone was more about the land, I think this is more character-driven.’

Prex10 agreed, writing: ‘My wife and I watched both episodes yesterday afternoon, and we were both blown away. We are both pretty disappointed with how Yellowstone turned out, as well as 1923.’

‘With Yellowstone ending as it did, I wasn’t expecting much from this,’ added Junior-Dust-6290. I’ll be honest, though, it was pretty solid.

‘Gave me the old feel I got when I started watching Yellowstone. Not perfect, but good and potential to get better.’

Even the critics are enjoying it so far, giving it a rather impressive 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.

So why not mosey on down to Dutton Ranch if the mood takes you? You’ll be in good company.

Dutton Ranch episodes 1-3 are available to watch now on Paramount Plus.
