Along with the fact that Nicole Kidman just revealed a special tidbit of info about “Practical Magic 2,” she also opened up about an unexpected and relatively unusual skill that she learned in order to tackle a new intriguing character.

Us Weekly took to Instagram to share a post about Kidman’s newly aquired capability and added a caption explaining that “[w]hile promoting her upcoming series 𝘚𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘢, the actress shared that she learned how to perform an autopsy for the role.”

Yes, an actual autopsy.

Nicole Kidman Says She ‘Can Remove All the Organs’

Kidman chatted about her anatomy-related knowledge while sitting down for an interview on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” While discussing her role as forensic pathologist Dr. Kay Scarpetta in her upcoming Prime series, she told the host about her surprising ability explaining, “I can remove all the organs. I can name them all.”

She later added, “I can remove the lungs and the liver and the gallbladder and the intestines.”

At one point, the host asked Kidman if she uses method acting, and she responded by telling him, “Yes, I am.”

Kidman joked (we hope) that Fallon had asked before the show if she’d be “willing” to perform an autopsy during their interview. Fallon, on the other hand, said that wasn’t true.

“Unless I misunderstood. Maybe it was on a dummy or something, but either way,” Kidman continued as she played around with the host.

While addressing how she was able to quickly learn to perform an autopsy, she said that it’s not only “part of the job,” but she also explained that she “worked with an incredible medical examiner” and “studied him.”

Other Stars Have Learned Surprising Skills for Roles

Kidman isn’t the only star who has learned an arguably unexpected skill for a gig. People noted that “[w]hile preparing for some of their most recognizable roles, actors like Cillian Murphy, Jenna Ortega and Margot Robbie trained in areas that can’t be confined to a script.
