Alison Hammond has reportedly put her £700,000 house on the market, with sources claiming it was on the same day as Phillip Schofield announced his exit from This Morning.

After more than 20 years, the TV presenter, 61, announced he was stepping back from hosting the ITV daytime programme, following reports of a ‘fallout’ with Holly Willoughby.

The pair were said to be ‘barely speaking’ behind-the-scenes and it was claimed that their relationship had ‘cooled’, with Phil stepping down after ‘a very difficult last few days’.

It was confirmed Holly would go on to present the programme with other members of the This Morning team, though she took an early half term break, leaving the likes of Alison, Craig Doyle and Dermot O’Leary to step in.

Though it has yet to be confirmed who will be taking on the permanent role, the new Great British Bake Off host is said to be ‘likely’ to spend more time in London filming This Morning.

A source revealed: ‘The timings are entirely coincidental but are, perhaps, telling.

‘Alison loves that house but wants a fresh start.

‘She’s incredibly in demand.’

The insider added to The Sun: ‘It’s looking highly likely she will be asked to do more days a week on This Morning — and therefore she will be spending more time in London.’

The publication notes that Alison’s four-bedroom, three-bathroom Solihull house is on the market for £700,000, adding that the West Midlands pad even has a garden hot tub.

Alison was previously rumoured to be hosting with Holly after Phil took a break during his brother Timothy Schofield’s trial.

The temporary This Morning partnership was such a huge hit with viewers that bosses are said to be looking to pair them up more often.

One source spilled: ‘It was a super-clever idea to slot Alison in with Holly, and it worked so well.

They added to the Mail On Sunday at the time that while ‘nobody’s supposed to discuss Phil’s future’ on the programme, it has been hot topic ever since Holly and Alison hosted together.
