There was plenty of glitz and glamour on the “Avatar: Fire And Ash” red carpet, but pop star Miley Cyrus brought a little extra sparkle. Onlookers spotted a gorgeous ring on that finger, likely an engagement ring from her beau, Maxx Morando. Cyrus subtly showed off her new bling while posing in a stunning black Gucci gown.
As Page Six reported, the ring comes courtesy of designer Jacquie Aiche. The 14-karat gold band features a cushion-cut diamond, and Cyrus’s smile was just as brilliant as her ring when she showed it off on the red carpet. The couple has been together for several years, and it appears that they may be taking their relationship to the next level.
Cyrus Strategically Positioned Her Left Hand in Several Event Photos
Although Cyrus hasn’t officially announced an engagement as of this writing, her strategic hand positioning in many photos from the premiere certainly got fans talking. In addition to placing her left hand prominently on Morando’s chest when they posed together, Cyrus also kept it very visible in solo photos.
This wouldn’t be the first time Cyrus soft-launched an engagement. During her early relationship with ex Liam Hemsworth, the singer wasn’t always transparent about their status. After calling off their first engagement in 2013, fans spotted Cyrus wearing Hemsworth’s engagement ring again in late 2015. However, as Vanity Fair reported, the “Wrecking Ball” singer didn’t confirm their re-engagement until 2016. If she is engaged to Morando now, it may be a while before fans get clear confirmation!
The Pair Met on a Blind Date in 2021
Cyrus and Morando didn’t have the usual boy-meets-girl experience. As Cyrus shared with British Vogue in 2023, they actually met on a blind dateâof sorts. “Well, it was blind for me and not really for him,” she admitted. However, Cyrus decided to go on the date with a positive attitude. “I thought, ‘The worst that can happen is I leave,’” she said.
Although Cyrus has been relatively tight-lipped about her now four-year relationship with Morando, what she has shared suggests a happy union. “Heâs very similar to me,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in late 2024. “We just donât take life too seriously.” Only time will tell if Cyrus’s new bling leads to another walk down the aisle.
