Victoriaâs most significant role was in âThe Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada,â which was directed by Jones. âShe had to get up at 5 a.m. for her part,” Jones said of his daughterâs role in the film in a 2006 interview with The New Yorker. “One morning, she wouldnât get out of bed. I said, âHoney, this is work.â But she wouldnât budge. So I fired her. Then, without telling me, the production staff went over and woke her and rushed her out to the set just in time.â
She Could Speak Spanish
Victoria could speak Spanish, and her father proudly shared this in an interview with The New Yorker in 2006. âSheâs a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish … When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish,â he said.
