All the evidence that Oasis is recording a new album amid reunion tour

Since Liam and Noel Gallagher have now made amends, fans are convinced an entire Oasis album could definitely (maybe) be on the way too.

Since their dramatic split in 2009, the brothers have been hurling barbs at each other with no reconciliation in sight.

However, with Oasis reuniting for the in-demand world tour in 2025, it’s not too far of a stretch to imagine they might also be writing songs together.

Oasis Live ’25 was so highly sought after that the famously feuding brothers have even announced two further gigs at Wembley Stadium in September.

Pictures of Noel, 57, outside a recording studio sent fans into a frenzy, with the Wonderwall legend carrying an ‘I Love Manchester’ keychain.

This isn’t the only little Easter egg that the Britpop icons might have more in store than just one giant stadium tour.

Rivals Blur released an album last year after their huge Wembley gigs and a documentary so there is already a formula out there for reunion success when it comes to charts.

The Ballad of Darren secured a number-one spot on the UK album charts upon launch last year — something we’re sure Oasis would be keen to compete with.

Noel heads to the recording studio

In April 2024, Noel revealed that he was ‘scrapping’ the acoustic album he’d been working on.

‘By the way, I’ve scrapped the acoustic album finally, can’t f**kng do it anymore. Yeah, it got six tunes in, and I was so bored with the arrangement of it all and the kind of slow pace of it all and, actually what made me think, right fuck it, I’m not doing it,’ he said on Matt Morgan’s podcast.

He then added that he was instead going to make a ‘defiant rock record’ to be released by the end of the year.

‘It was too down. Acoustic tunes tend to be quite down. I need to make a defiant rock record and that’s what I’m gonna do. Sorry everyone. I do apologise if anyone had their hearts set on it.”

‘So in my head now if I could demo it all by the end of the year or start to record it proper by the end of the year, could be… dunno…not next year cos then I’d have to go back out on tour next year and I’m not doing that. 2026 maybe?’

So perhaps the singer is just working on this ‘defiant rock record’ or perhaps he’s cooking something new up for the reunion tour, we will just have to wait and see!

Liam’s teasing tweets

It has been extremely quiet from Liam’s X account ever since the announcement — something fans aren’t quite used to.

This has lead to fans deep-diving his tweets and coming up with some absolute gems such as a rather expletive nod to Oasis, railing against expensive tickets, and even new music teasing.

In April, Liam sent a response to X account GloryDoge, who had asked ‘When does the recording of the next Oasis album start?’

They referred to Noel’s decision to scrap his album, prompting Liam to reply with a simple but enticing ‘November’.

Now, you could dismiss this as just his usual sarcasm but July tweets about him being at a ‘photo shoot’ turned out to be real, given the fresh snaps of him and his brother.

In August, Liam declared he was planning ‘world domination’ for 2025 — hardly surprising when he has a world tour on the way.

Oasis’ poetic reunion announcement

Liam has never been afraid to let his feelings known however, the

Some even speculated that poetic lines used in the announcement of their tour- ‘The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised’ – could be hinting at new lyrics.

‘I think the Guns have fallen silent thing they put out are lyrics to a new song,’ said MarkL75259926.

Another fan, Hiiliketrees, replied: ‘Thats a good shout actually.’

Noel has released four albums with his rock band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, since Oasis split in 2009.

The group’s first solo album was self-titled and was released in 2011. The second album Chasing Yesterday was released in 2015, Who Built the Moon? was released in 2017, and the fourth album Council Skies was released most recently in June 2023.

Liam also joined another band after Oasis and was the lead singer for Beady Eye between 2009 and 2014. He then went on to have a solo career.
