Andy Dick is speaking out after his apparent drug overdose.

On Tuesday, the 59-year-old comedian was found unresponsive on a Los Angeles street and reportedly had to be <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/andy-dick-allegedly-revived-with-narcan-on-a-los-angeles-street.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>revived with Narcan.

The next day, Dick spoke to a reporter from <a href=”https://www.tmz.com/2025/12/10/andy-dick-explains-overdose-crack/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TMZ, which was the first outlet to report on his OD. The Newsradio star seemed to downplay the headline-making incident.

“Doesn’t it look like I’m 100% fine?” Dick says in the December 10 video, adding that he was “110% [fine].”

Dick goes on to explain how he ended up passed out on a Hollywood stoop.

“There was a guy that was my age,” he says in the clip, which was shot in his home. “And I felt for him … He had kids and he was depressed and he was on the sidewalk. And I’m like, ‘I’ll sit with you.’” And then he whipped out, I’m sorry, but crack. And I’m like, ‘You know what, I might need a little bit of that.’”

“I wanted to see what he was doing,” he continued. “And also, I don’t mind doing a little crack now and then. But in this case…”

Two unnamed men who are friends of Dick’s also appear in the video. One shared how they planned to spent the day with the Dancing With the Stars alum before losing track of him. When they found him on the street, they sought help. One said he grabbed Dick’s hand and urged him to think of his grandchildren.

Dick has had a long and public history of drug and alcohol abuse, as well as run-ins with the law.

“The main thing that I’ve struggled with over the years as an actor and really as a person, is the abuse of drugs and alcohol,” he said in a 2015 video for <a href=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1occdefaz0o” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Artists Project LA.

“I’m recovering, I’m in recovery,” he explained in the February 2015 clip. “I have a lot of months behind me and hopefully many many more years ahead of me, of sobriety.”

“My main advice I give to people is keep going,” Dick added. “Don’t give up if you fall off the horse. Get back on it and go for it, because if i can do it — let me tell you something — you can do it.”
