Angelina Jolie was every bit the proud mom! Over the weekend, she supported her son Knox during a special milestone â his 17th birthday. People reported that the actress, 50, attended Knoxâs Muay Thai competition on Saturday, July 12, which doubled as a birthday celebration for both him and his twin sister Vivienne.
Jolie attended the event in a long-sleeved black top and matching pants, wearing sunglasses and flashing a subtle smile as she posed with a staff member.
The sighting marked a low-key but heartfelt show of support.
A Family Rooted in Love & Privacy
Jolie is mom to six children: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox & Vivienne, 17. Known for fiercely guarding their privacy, the actress has occasionally shared glimpses of motherhoodâs intimate moments.
Back in February, while speaking at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Jolie reflected on why she sold newborn photos of Knox & Vivienne to People and Hello! Back in 2008. âIt was a strange thing to have to do⦠but it was kind of the better option. It was for their safety,â she explained at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Feb. 5. âSomebody was coming for it and it was a safety concern⦠It was just better to control it in a safe way, and do something good with it.â

In a December 2024 interview with the BBC, Jolie opened up about working on “Mariaâ alongside her eldest sons, Maddox & Pax, who served as production assistants.
âTheyâve seen me go through a lot of things, but they hadnât experienced me expressing a lot of the pain that usually a parent hides,â Jolie shared. âThey were there to witness some of that⦠but then we would hug or they would bring me cups of tea.â
The actress described it as a new, vulnerable way of being honest with her kids.
Jolie’s Relaxed Weekend Outing With Knox
As per photos published by Hola, just days after his birthday celebration, Jolie and Knox were photographed spending time together in Los Feliz. The pair ran errands, stopping by a local grocery store and a magazine shop. Jolie looked effortlessly chic in a long black dress, flats, and her signature oversized sunglasses. Knox kept it casual in a green t-shirt, sweatpants, and sneakers.
In one candid moment, Knox was seen behind the wheel as Jolie rode in the passenger seat, appearing to offer him driving tips â just another sign of her presence in every chapter of her childrenâs lives.
