Anne Hathaway just gave fans a small peak into what her life is like off set.
During an interview with Vogue for their August cover story, the notoriously-private Hathaway revealed that she prefers spending her free time “hanging out” with her two children.
“Uno games, baking when there’s time, teaching the kids to dribble a basketball in the apartment without upsetting the neighbors,” Hathaway shared with the outlet about her family’s favorite pastimes.
The actress, 42, shares sons Jonathan, 9, and Jack, 5 with her husband of 12 years Adam Shulman.
Bradley Cooper Shared That He And Hathaway Have Supported Each Other Throughout Their Respective Parenting Journeys
Cooper explained to Vogue that he and Hathaway became close during Manhattan’s 2020 lockdowns, as the two A-listers’ families came together to form a COVID-19 “pod.”
âWe started hanging out as parents, having dance parties with children in my kitchen, and I fell in love with both of them,â Cooper said of Hathaway and Shulman.
The actor, 50, went on to praise the couple’s marriage, calling it âan emblem for that kind of commitment,” and explaining that the two “enrich” each other.
Although, Cooper continued, Hathaway and her family are incredibly “normal” in every other respect.
âI hate to use that word. But youâve met Anne: Sheâs very present and grounded, Iâll put it that way. And kind. Sheâs viciously intelligent,” Cooper told Vogue.
Hathaway Has Previously Discussed Why She Prefers To Keep Her Kids Out Of The Spotlight
In a 2023 interview with PORTER, the actress said that children should be able to “define their own lives.”
“Itâs something I feel is not just essential for my health â Iâm on a team, itâs my family, and itâs not just about me,â Hathaway explained.
Hathaway went on to discuss her own preferences in terms of engaging with the media; while she tries to be her most authentic self in the public eye, she does keep a large part of her life private.
“It doesnât even occur to me to link the two up, except through gratitude that they serve each other so beautifully,” she told the outlet. “But they serve each other through me, and not through a space thatâs outside of myself.â
Despite she and her husband’s private nature, Hathaway has slowly begun to bring her children along to big events over the past year.
Hathaway was spotted with her younger son Jack at Super Bowl LIX in February. In a video posted by GQ Sports, the pair can be seen waving at themselves on the jumbotron while sporting green (in support of the Philadelphia Eagles).
Last July, she and oldest son Jonathan attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Germany, where the two handed out snacks and water bottles to their fellow concert-goers.
