Arianna Grande

Ariana Grande is spreading love and positivity to Singapore after being accosted by a man during the premiere of her new film, “Wicked: For Good.”

The singer, who plays Glinda in the highly anticipated sequel, took to Instagram on Friday, sharing stunning photos during the film’s press tour in the country.

One snap showed Grande wearing a dazzling pink Balenciaga gown, while another shot showed her in an eye-catching Thom Browne dress. She also posted photos with her co-stars Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Yeoh.

“thank you, Singapore ♡ we love you,” the singer captioned the post.

Ariana Grande’s Scary Encounter at ‘Wicked: For Good’ Premiere

On Thursday, Grande, alongside Yeoh, Erivo, and Jeff Goldblum, was walking on the yellow brick road carpet at Universal Studios Singapore, when a man suddenly jumped over the barricade and charged at her.

Videos taken from the scene showed the man, later identified as Johnson Wen, putting his arm around Grande before Erivo intervened.

The actress, who plays Elphaba in the movie, positioned herself between Grande and Wen. Security quickly removed the man, while a visibly shaken Grande was comforted by Erivo and Yeoh.

In 2018, Grande opened up about her struggles with PTSD in the wake of the 2017 bombing of her Manchester concert.

“Yeah, it’s a real thing. I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well,” Grande told British Vogue. “It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss … I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience – like I shouldn’t even say anything. I don’t think I’ll ever know how to talk about it and not cry.”

Johnson Wen Charged in Court

Shortly after his latest antic, Wen, who goes by the nickname “Pyjama Man,” shared the video himself on Instagram.

“Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You,” he captioned the post.

Wen is notorious for crashing celebrity events. In June, he jumped on stage and put his arm around Katy Perry. Then, in August, he crashed The Weeknd’s concert before security rushed him off stage.

On Thursday, Wen shared another update, bragging to his followers that he’s free after being arrested.

Meanwhile, the BBC reported that Wen was charged with being a public nuisance by a Singapore court on Friday, November 14.

The Straits Times also reported that Wen appeared in court via video link with no legal representation. He is expected to plead guilty on Monday, November 17.
