Baby Shark rapper Ralan Styles has been shot dead aged 22, according to reports.
Styles, real name Michael Robinson, was killed in a home in Columbus, Ohio in an alleged street robbery in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The alleged killer shot Styles multiple times after he tried to rob his neck chain, according to witnesses.
After he tried to steal the Styles’ jewellery, a confrontation erupted in which the alleged killer shot Style’s dead.
The Daily Mail reports police were called to the Victorian Village neighbourhood just before 5am.
They found Styles bleeding from gunshot wounds and performed CPR while waiting for an ambulance.
The publication states he was pronounced dead at 5.10am after resuscitation attempts failed.
A man named Mahamood Hassan, 24, was arrested by police after witnesses supplied a detailed description of the murderer and then picked him out of a line-up.
He has been charged with Styles’ murder and is currently at the Franklin County Jail awaiting court today, according to the Daily Mail.
Styles’ brother, a rapper called Lil Goat, said he was ‘heartbroken’ in a tribute on Instagram.
Not my lil brother man. I’m still waiting for you to call me and tell me this whole thing is a joke/ My heart is broken, i’ll never be the same.
‘We went from rapping at the lunch table together in middle school, to becoming superstars💔We slept on the floor together, we ate together, we fought together, signed our first deal together.
