‘Baywatch’ Beauty Nicole Eggert Gives Fans Update on Her Cancer Journey

Nicole Eggert

After nearly two years of intense treatment, “Baywatch” alum Nicole Eggert is finally getting a reason to breathe a little easier — and to celebrate.

The 53-year-old actress recently shared a joyful update in her ongoing breast cancer journey: her latest tests came back clear and her white blood cell count is up without needing blood injections.

In an Instagram Story posted December 2, Eggert filmed herself dancing to Missy Elliott’s “Work It” in her car — a spontaneous, carefree moment she admitted she feared might never come again.

She posted a lengthy message on top of the video.

“Not everyone realizes how stressful cancer recovery is,” she wrote. “Every month there are blood tests and then you go in to get those results. Every. Single. Month.”

She added, “So that changes your life going forward. Today my tests were clear and my white blood cell count was up without those damn blood injections, and I am in my car rocking out and celebrating! Let’s go!!!!”

A Long, Difficult Road

Eggert’s cancer journey began in December 2023, when she was diagnosed with stage-2 cribriform carcinoma after discovering a painful lump during a self-exam.

What followed was a grueling regimen: lymph-node removal, eight rounds of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and — earlier this year — two mastectomies followed by reconstructive surgery.

Eggert has been candid about how the diagnosis rocked her world.

She recalled the heavy weight of emergency medical appointments, difficult conversations with her daughters, and the emotional toll of life under constant uncertainty.

Yet, through it all, she never lost hope.

“Some days I freak out on what my body has gone thru,” she admitted in October — adding that she finds strength in remembering that her body still shows up for her.

What This Good News Means — and Why It Matters

This latest clear-test result isn’t just one more item checked off a chart.

For Eggert, it signals a return of control and a bit of normalcy after months of pain, anxiety, and aggressive treatment. It’s a milestone not just in recovery, but in healing.

On top of that, Eggert isn’t keeping her story to herself.

She’s been open about the highs and the lows of living through this disease.

In previous interviews, she described the “grey area” — the waiting, the scans, the not-knowing — as emotionally brutal. Now, that grey area is giving way to real, tangible hope.

Now, she’s letting herself celebrate. Not quietly or modestly, but loudly by dancing in her car, letting the music play, and embracing gratitude.
