Beloved ‘College GameDay’ Host Lee Corso Says Farewell – He’ll Be Missed

Lee Corso

It’s the end of an era.

Lee Corso has officially signed off from “College GameDay,” making one last selection on Saturday, Aug. 30 at the age of 90. Corso returned to the place where his beloved tradition began, having famously put on the Brutus headgear after picking Ohio State to beat Penn State in 1996.

From there, he went on to make 430 headgear selections, with his final one going to No. 3 Ohio State, who he picked to defeat No. 1 Texas in Week 1 of the 2025 College Football Season.

Corso got it right once again, as the Buckeyes defeated the Longhorns 14-7.

Corso’s impact on College Football is hard to put into words, having been a staple of many fans’ Saturdays for so many years. And in honor of all that he’s done, many paid tribute to Corso on Saturday and in the weeks leading up to this moment.
