Annabel Schofield’s Legacy

Schofield was no stranger to the spotlight, having grown up around film as her father, who was British movie production executive John D. Schofield. His credits include hit movies such as “Romancing the Stone,” “Jerry Maguire,” and “As Good as It Gets.”

In the 1980s is when she became well known in the London fashion scene, where she was represented by London’s Take Two Agency. During that time, she was on hundreds of magazine covers, while also starring in campaigns for major brands including Yves Saint Laurent, Rimmel, Revlon, and Boots No. 7.

However, one of her most memorable fashion moments came when she had an appearance in a Bugle Boy Jeans TV commercial, delivering the line, “Excuse me, are those Bugle Boy jeans you’re wearing?” while driving in a black sports car.

Despite her modeling career being such a success, Schofield made the decision to move to Los Angeles to be cast in 12 episodes of “Dallas” as Laurel Ellis. Along with this role, she also portrayed Alex Noffee in “Solar Crisis” as well as performing in “Dragonard” and “Eye of the Widow.”

After that, she followed in her father’s footsteps, moving to a production role on projects such as “The Brothers Grimm,” “Doom,” and “City of Ember.” With that, she also founded Bella Bene Productions.

In 2013, Schofield wrote a semi-autobiographical novel called The Cherry Alignment , which was inspired by her life as a model and actress.

“She was one of David Bailey’s favorites and appeared in countless shoots for Italian Vogue. She was the forerunner of Take Two — without her, we could never have made it as we did,” Melissa Richardson, who is the former owner of London’s Take Two Agency, said of Schofield in a statement (per the Hollywood Reporter).

“We loved her because she was funny and real and beautiful and down to earth. She never changed from the sweet little 17-year-old Welsh girl I first met,” she continued. “She was directly loyal, caring, and above all, a raging beauty. She knew her craft. She was the best,”
