Beau Starr, who is best known for his role in “Goodfellas” along with the “Halloween” franchise, has passed away at the age of 81, TMZ reports.
Starr’s younger brother, Mike Starr, told the outlet that the actor died on Friday, April 24, in Vancouver, Canada, of natural causes. He added this his brother was “loved by many who knew him,” adding that he was “very unique and special.”

Following news of Starr’s passing, Chris Serrone, who also acted in the hit mob movie, paid tribute to the actor on Instagram.

Beau Starr’s Career
Starr began his career as an athlete, having signed with the New York Jets practice squad after his college football career at Hofstra. He remained with the team from 1966 to 1968 before moving to the Canadian Football Leagueâs Montreal Alouettes and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
He then transitioned to acting, where he made his debut in the sketch comedy show Bizarre. From there, he appeared in episodes of “TJ Hooker, Cagney & Lacey, Threeâs Company, Knight Rider, Remington Steele, The A-Team, MacGyver, The Fall Guy, Moonlighting, Night Court, Matlock, Murder She Wrote, Wings, NYPD Blue, The Dead Zone, Psych, and more.
As for his movie roles, he made his film debut in the 1982 movie “Hanky Panky”, which starred Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner. He also played Sheriff Ben Meeker in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989), along with also appearing in Goodfellas (1990), Cinderella Man (2005), and more.
