Beloved Nigerian TV presenter Somtochukwu “Sommie” Christelle Maduagwu has died at the age of 29 after a tragic fall from her apartment during an armed robbery. Sun reported that, according to police, Maduagwu leapt from the third floor of her building in Abuja, Nigeria, while armed intruders raided her home on September 29.

Responding officers found her unconscious at the scene and rushed her to Maitama General Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead from her injuries.

Authorities have launched a special investigation unit to identify and arrest those responsible for the attack.

“Armed robbers gained access to the apartment complex where Sommie lived,” he said. “Out of fear, she jumped from the third floor. It’s so sad, so unfortunate.”

As per Wikipedia, before joining ARISE News, Maduagwu studied law in the United Kingdom and returned to Nigeria to complete national service. She worked as a legal executive and junior counsel before transitioning into a career in broadcast journalism.
