Beloved WWE Star Passes Away & Tributes Pour In

Fans of World Wrestling Entertainment are in mourning as Sir Mo has passed away. The beloved wrestler was 58 years old. His death comes after he’d faced multiple health issues, including complications with his kidneys.

Mo’s brother, Gerald Horne, confirmed the sad news to TMZ on October 20th. He stated that the former WWE star passed away on the night of October 19 at a Texas hospital. His death was the result of kidney issues. He had also been hospitalized for the past few months.

Mo provided a health update in July. He wrote on Instagram, “Good morning, world. Thank God for blessing me and getting me through my surgery last week. I am so thrilled to be able to speak to you this morning from my throne. I have not been able to sit on it in 3 years. All I wanna say is God is good!”


Tributes are Pouring In for Sir Mo

Mo, real name Bobby Horne, began with the World Wrestling Federation in 1993. His wrestling partner at the time was Mabel. Due to his larger-than-life persona, many are taking to social media to pay tribute to his legacy.

One of the most notable came from powerlifter Mark Henry. He said, “Rest in peace, Sir Mo! We crossed paths many years ago, but it was great to make your acquaintance again, even though it was late in our lives.”

A fan said on X, “Dang, Sir Mo died, he was one of the greatest WWE stars of all time.” Cultaholic Wrestling posted, “Sir Mo of Men on a Mission, real name Bobby Horne, has passed away at 58 years old.Rest in peace, Bobby Horne.”

Adam Pearce wrote, “Saddened to wake up to news that Bobby Horne/Sir Mo passed. Bobby was always good to me, keeping in touch with little messages over the years. Godspeed, Mo. I appreciate you and the time we shared. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and all affected. Rest well, sir. 🙏”

Leilani kai, who is also a wrestler, said, “It breaks my heart to hear that Bobby Horne, better known to wrestling fans as Sir Mo of Men on a Mission, has passed away. 💔”

She continued,”I first met Bobby when we were both traveling with the WWF in the mid-90s. He was always kind to me — always smiling, joking around, and treating everyone with respect. When you were new or didn’t quite fit in yet, Bobby had a way of making you feel welcome.”

The tribute continued, “Rest in peace, my friend. Thank you for every laugh, every kind word, and every night we shared on the road. You’ll be missed by all of us who knew you.”


He Will Be Missed

Mo retired from the World Wrestling Federation, now called the WWE, in 1996. However, he continued wrestling through the independent circuit. He later became a mentor and wrestling promoter. Mo will be missed, but he leaves behind a vibrant legacy.
