Ben Affleck Gushes Over Ex, Former ‘Idol’ Judge Jennifer Lopez

Actor Ben Affleck has gushed praise for his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez, despite their broken marriage.

Affleck made it clear that he still has a very high opinion of the singer/actress and former “American Idol” judge.

The pair has a long history together. They famously dated years ago before becoming engaged and then breaking off the engagement. They then reunited after marrying and divorcing other people, and Lopez even created a documentary and movie about their romance.

Although that romance has now ended, Affleck had only positive things to say about Lopez, even calling her “spectacular,” according to “Entertainment Tonight.“

Affleck made the comments to “Entertainment Tonight” when he was interviewed on the red carpet at his premiere of the new movie “The Accountant 2.” He indicated in that interview that he and Lopez have tried to prioritize their kids, who get along well with each other.

“For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them,” he continued. “I love her kids. They’re wonderful. She’s [an] enormously important, tremendous person of a lot of integrity who I adore and am grateful to.”

Affleck has three kids with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, and Lopez has two kids with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.

“It’s a great night. The kids are here, Jen’s kids are here. I’m very, very excited,” Affleck, 52, told Entertainment Tonight on April 16. “I’m proud of the movie, I love the movie and I love when all the kids come out. It’s really fun. It’s exciting.”

Affleck, Lopez and also Garner have been hit with constant headlines since the couple broke up. However, Affleck told “Entertainment Tonight” that he doesn’t pay much attention to that kind of media noise.

“Listen, I don’t read the stuff online much, and sometimes I get the sense that people perpetuate this idea of, I don’t know, they wanna find something negative to talk about.”

Rather, Affleck said, he is enjoying focusing on fatherhood, and he spoke gushingly about his kids.

“The relationships that you can have with children like that, it’s the joy of my life,” Affleck said in the interview. “And those kids are amazing, and I’m glad that this is a movie they want to come to.”
