Big Brother co-host AJ Odudu was forced to apologise live on air after a housemate unexpectedly dropped the C-bomb.

Last night’s Big Brother: Late & Live show, which featured former Geordie Shore star Sophie Kasaei and former Celebrity Big Brother winner David Potts, saw AJ share an exclusive look inside the iconic house.

As we joined Richard and Jenny on the sofa, the pair could be seen laughing along.

Jenny began their chat by saying: ‘Richard, I’m never far wrong. I say things backwards all the time, but I’m never far wrong,’ before insisting that he needs to visit her in Derry, Northern Ireland.

After Richard agreed and said, ‘Yes, we can buy milk,’ Jenny could be seen looking puzzled.

Richard then joked, ‘because we’re visiting dairy’, as he made fun of Jenny’s Northern Irish accent.

As Richard descended into a fit of laughter, Jenny could be seen looking over at the other housemates and saying: ‘I swear, Mary, he’s a f****** c***.’

As the clip ended, however, and we were back in the Late & Live studio, an awkward silence fell across the room as AJ tried to save the situation.

Speaking to the audience, she said: ‘Wow, a live chat. What did she say at the end? Nothing, nothing.’

After briefly speaking with her guests, AJ then addressed viewers by saying: ‘I will apologise for Jenny’s bad language. It has been confirmed that it was bad, and I am sorry for anyone who was offended.’

She continued: ‘But bless them though, because it’s not been an easy day in the house because, whether they want it or not, nominations for evictions are taking place.’

This comes after Jenny ‘outed’ her fellow housemate Zelah as transgender in Sunday night’s episode of the show.

As the reality television show began, contestants were gathered for that night’s eviction, during which Gani became the second housemate to leave.

However, events were derailed when an over-excited Jenny described Zelah as ‘the transgender’ in front of other housemates – some of whom were unaware that Zelah is trans.

Viewers have since praised Zelah’s calm reaction before Jenny took the moment to apologise for her actions.

Big Brother airs Sunday-Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
