Big Brother viewers are shocked after an excruciating moment on tonight’s show involving Caroline and Zelah.

This year’s season hasn’t been short of jaw-dropping scenes, from housemates revealing that they are married to their cousin to the C-bomb live on TV.

But fans have called an exchange on tonight’s episode not just the most uncomfortable of the season, but one that will go down in the Big Brother history books as the most squeamish of all time.

Caroline, who recently admitted to being friends with Reform politician Nigel Farage, made a number of comments during a game of spin the bottle to Zelah, who was outed as trans by a housemate earlier in the series.

‘If you had a c**k what would you do with it?’ Caroline asked Zelah, who took this graciously and responded by saying he would helicopter it, while looking somewhat awkward at the direct nature of the question.

After the bottle landed on pansexual housemate Nancy, Caroline said: ‘If you could shag anyone in this house… You’re on a desert island, there’s one person left. You might be able to make babies to form a new civilisation. Who would you shag?’

While Nancy confirmed, ‘Does it have to be a guy?’ and Caroline was reminded of Nancy’s pan-sexuality by another housemate, Caroline jibed: ‘Do you like pans?’

Nancy eventually responded that she was most attracted to Zelah, to which Caroline yelled: ‘She’s a girl!’

At this, Caroline instantly covered her mouth and said, ‘No, you’re not!’ realising her catastrophic blunder.

While housemates called Caroline out and hid their heads in shame, theTV star continued on her rampage: ‘But you haven’t got a willy have you…? Is that really bad?’

‘I’m so sorry Ze is that bad. That is bad,’ Caroline added, while Zelah said in a muted voice: ‘It’s cool.’

‘I’m dead now,’ said Caroline, before asking again: ‘Is that bad? Why?’

‘I know you didn’t mean it in a bad way,’ Zelah said, as Feyisola added: ‘We know you don’t mean it in that way, but Zelah is a man.’

Caroline responded: ‘I know you’re a man. A big man. Oh god, shut up Caroline. Ze, Ze, I didn’t mean it like that.’

While Zelah tried to reassure Caroline that everything was okay, he exited soon after and headed straight to talk to Big Brother about how he was feeling.

‘I just got called a girl Big Brother. It’s been a while. I didn’t think it would affect me that much. It’s kind of why I didn’t want to tell anyone from the get go because once people know their true perceptions of you come out… But, “She’s a girl,” was strong,’ he said.

‘I think I have quite a thick skin. I am so down for open conversations and people having questions. I think it’s really important because with silence comes divisiveness. But sometimes my openness can come at the expense of my own feelings. That really hit. I can’t remember the last time words hurt me like that.’

Talking to other housemates about the moment, Caroline was teary and said she understood where she went wrong, apologising profusely.

But viewers were flabbergasted at the moment, as @CoreyOnScreen said: ‘S**t. I’ve watched Big Brother since series 3 – I think that interaction between Zelah and Caroline is one of the most uncomfortable moments I’ve seen in this show.’

‘Wow Caroline that was soooo too far cmon hun!’ said @Daniieelleee, while another said: ‘Please get Caroline out I beg what the hell just happened.’

After the jaw-dropping moment, Big Brother gave Caroline an official warning about language found to be ‘offensive and unacceptable’.

‘Any repeated use of this type of language and behaviour could lead to you being removed from the house,’ Big Brother said, to which Caroline replied: ‘I agree. It was horrible what I said.’

She added: ‘Why did that come out of my gob? There’s no way out of this. I’d do anything to take that back.’
