Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus have seemingly confirmed their relationship as they posed for a very cosy photo together over the Easter weekend.
The British model, 59, has stunned fans after sharing a photo of herself sharing a kiss with the country music star, 63, while posing together in a grassy field.
While some have been left seriously baffled by the connection between the pair, the new couple have known each other for several years, with Hurley and Cyrus co-starring in the 2022 film Christmas in Paradise.
They appeared opposite Frasier star Kelsey Grammer, and played potential love interests in the movie. The Bedazzled actress also appeared to drop a hint when she shared a clip in a bikini from a tropical beach, set to Cyrus’s She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore.
Cyrus has had quite the turbulent love life, having recently divorced Australian singer Firerose, 36, just last year.
Hurley has also had a string of headline-hitting romances in the past and several famous exes. Here we take a look back at both of their love lives through the years…
Elizabeth Hurley’s dating history
Hugh Grant
Hurley’s relationship with actor Hugh Grant lasted 13 years, with the pair remaining ‘extremely good friends’ since their split in 2000.
The pair met back in 1987 on the set of Remando Al Viento, quickly becoming one of the biggest celebrity couples during Grant’s huge rise to fame.
In one of their most infamous moments, Hurley wore a black and gold cut-out Versace dress to accompany the actor to the London premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral.
During their relationship, Grant was arrested for ‘lewd conduct’ in public in 1995, after he was caught in a car with Hollywood sex worker Divine Brown.
Speaking about the incident on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Grant said: ‘I think you know in life what’s a good thing to do and what’s a bad thing, and I did a bad thing. And there you have it.’
The pair split in 2000, but have remained close through the years, with Grant being the godfather to Hurley’s only child Damian.
Hurley told You Magazine in 2016: ‘He will be my best friend for life. You can create fabulous new relationships but it will never be quite the same as that one.
‘And Damian loves him very much. All my proper boyfriends, fiancés or husbands become my best friends and they all still are.’
Steve Bing
Liz went on to date multimillionaire Steve Bing for 18 months, with the pair welcoming son Damian together before their split in early 2002.
Bing is reported to have initially denied he was the father until a DNA test determined the paternity.
Bing was best known as the financier of movies like The Polar Express and Beowulf, and wrote the script for 2003’s Kangaroo Jack, as well as being credited as a producer on films including Get Carter.
The film producer was found dead at the base of a luxury apartment building in Century City, California, on Monday 22 June 2020.
Paying tribute to her ex, Hurley shared on social media: ‘I am saddened beyond belief that my ex Steve is no longer with us. It is a terrible end. Our time together was very happy and I’m posting these pictures because although we went through some tough times, it’s the good, wonderful memories of a sweet, kind man that matter.
‘In the past year we had become close again. We last spoke on our son’s 18th birthday. This is devastating news and I thank everyone for their lovely messages.’
Arun Nayar
Hurley began dating multimillionaire Arun Nayar in late 2002. They went on to marry in two lavish ceremonies held in 2007, a civil service in an English castle and then a traditional Hindu ceremony in India.
In December 2010, Hurley announced that she and Nayar had separated several months earlier. Hurley filed for divorce on 2 April 2011.
Shane Warne
Hurley went on to date former Australian cricketer Shane Warne. The pair became engaged, before eventually splitting in 2013.
Hurley and Warne stayed good friends despite their split, and he branded their relationship as the ‘happiest time of his life’.
He said: ‘When we were together we both had a great time. Unfortunately it didn’t work out. It wasn’t something that she or I did wrong, it just fizzled out.
‘We’re still great friends, we still stay in touch, we’re good for each other and our kids get along great.’
Warne died of a heart attack at the age of 52 in March 2022 while staying at a luxury villa on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand.
Reflecting on his death, Hurley told the Telegraph: ‘We have suffered loss. It was appalling losing Shane; it was a terrible thing. And it’s a sadness, you know, that stays with you a long time.’
Billy Ray Cyrus’ dating history
Cindy Smith
Cyrus was married to Cindy Smith from 1986 until they divorced in 1991.
The pair met at a bar in Ohio before he found fame after she became a regular at his shows.
Cyrus and Smith co-wrote the songs Wher’m I Gonna Live? and Some Gave All.
He later reflected on the marriage in his 2013 memoir Hillbilly Heart, calling it a ‘nonstop party.’
Tish Cyrus
In 1992, Cyrus became the father of two children with different women: a son, Christopher Cody Cyrus, born to waitress Kristin Luckey, and his now-famous daughter Miley, born to Tish Finley.
Billy Ray and Tish tied the knot in 1993 and after their marriage, Billy adopted Tish’s two children — Brandi and Trace — from a previous marriage. During their marriage the pair welcomed daughter Miley, son Braison and daughter Noah in 1992, 1994 and 2000, respectively.
Tish initially filed for divorce from Billy Ray in June 2013, but the pair reconciled their relationship.
‘We both woke up and realised we love each other and decided we want to stay together. We both went into couples therapy, something we haven’t done in 22 years of being together, and it’s brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways,’ Billy Ray’s rep said in a statement at the time.
Tish refiled for divorce in 2022. The pair settled later that year.
Firerose
Cyrus got engaged to Australian singer Firerose just a few months after his divorce from Tish was finalised. The pair tied the knot in October 2023.
A feud between Miley and her dad has been rumoured since the relationship began, with the Grammy-winning Flowers singer appearing to skip her dad’s wedding.
After a seven-month-long marriage, the pair finalised their divorce in 2024 with reports alleging she would be getting $0 upfront from her ex-husband, who in turn agreed to hand over credits and royalties for songs the pair wrote and published together.
In a statement through his lawyers, Billy told TMZ: ‘This has been absolutely the most crazy insane scam I have ever heard of. Let alone the fact I’m right in the centre and basically the target of the scheme.
‘It’s unfortunate it played out this way. Not only was it a web of lies that put me in physical danger, it was a matter of the heart. Love is blind, that’s for sure.’
Painting a picture of their relationship, Firerose claimed Cyrus ‘love bombed’ her when they began seeing each other during the Covid-19 pandemic and as things between them progressed, she ‘became very introverted.’
She later claimed that she was subjected to ‘extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse’ throughout the couple’s marriage.
An audio clip of Cyrus ranting at Firerose, obtained by the Daily Mail -reportedly about a situation in which the singer missed a stage performance.
In the clip, Cyrus can be heard saying: ‘If you had just left it the f**k alone, now I’m really f**king p***ed, once again showing you will not listen.
‘I don’t know who the f**k you think you are, but you will not listen…this ain’t about nothing this is about you being a selfish f**king b***h.’
He continues, shockingly: ‘I don’ think you’re real smart, I’ve changed my mind on that s**t. What I think you are is a selfish f**king b***h. That’s what you are.’
Reports also alleged that Cyrus filed for a divorce from his ex-wife the day before she was set to undergo a planned preventative double mastectomy.
Firerose claimed she was set to go under the knife on May 24, the day after he filed.
She reportedly discovered she was a carrier of BRCA1 gene in 2020 and was ‘highly recommended’ to have both breasts removed and reconstructed in order to avoid developing breast cancer.
Court documents seen by People read: ‘On the day Wife was set to get her surgery, she was instead searching for a place to live and under a significant amount of emotional distress.’
