‘Blind Side’ Star Drops 200 Pounds In Amazing Transformation

Quinton Aaron

Quinton Aaron, who starred as football player Michael Oher in the 2009 hit movie The Blind Side, showed off his impressive transformation, revealing to TMZ that he has lost 200 pounds.

“At my heaviest, I was 575 pounds. As of today, I am 370 pounds,” he told the outlet, adding that he did it without using any of the weight loss drugs. While he did try using them at first because he’s diabetic, he had an allergic reaction, which forced him to stop.

Aaron credited much of the weight loss to intermittent fasting, while also detailing how much his wife has supported him on this journey.

“Mentally, physically and emotionally, she has been my confidant and shelter through my storms,” He said. “I truly believe God was blessing me with one of his Angels when he sent her to me. She’s helped me get over my depression and so much more. She loves to tell people that she only does 5% and I do the other 95% but I believe she’s much more important in my life than even she gives herself credit for.”

In the interview with TMZ, Aaron explained how he “became a depressive eater after his mom passed away in 2008,” and it was his wife who helped him come out on the other side of things.

The two met on TikTok and got married in December 2024.

Quinton Aaron Was Hospitalized Earlier This Year

Earlier this year, Aaron was hospitalized due to a bad illness.

On Feb. 27, he was reportedly rushed to a Southern California medical facility due to a high fever as well as sweating, chills, and coughing up blood.

“It was crazy. It started very suddenly where I just started having coughs and I was in a daze like I took some edibles or something, and I didn’t. I felt I was on something,” Aaron told US Weekly in a March interview.

“I am coughing, coughing, coughing, I’m sweating, I’m cold and freezing, and I thought, ‘What’s going on?’ It just came out of nowhere,” he added. “I woke up in the middle of the night and go to spit up and it’s red. I’m like, ‘Whoa.’ It tripped me out because I watch a lot of Grey’s Anatomy and Chicago Med, and when they cough up red stuff, something is wrong.”

Many tests were conducted, but early indications suggested that it was both Type A flu and pneumonia. On March 6, the actor was released from the hospital and returned home to rest.
