Brad Pitt Allegedly Questioned if He Knew the ‘Real’ Angelina Jolie After Divorce

One alleged insider even claimed Pitt only learned who his ex-wife was after they were no longer together.</p>

<p id=”par-2_53″>According to <a href=”https://hollywoodlife.com/2018/09/30/brad-pitt-no-regrets-angelina-jolie-divorce/”>Hollywood Life</a>, Jolie briefly second-guessed her decision to divorce Pitt. The two had only been married for two years before separating in 2016. But they’d been dating since 2004. Jolie was initially the one who filed for the divorce, giving a vague but cryptic explanation for her decision to <a href=”https://www.theguardian.com/film/2021/sep/04/angelina-jolie-i-just-want-my-family-to-heal#:~:text=%E2%80%9CI’m%20not%20the%20kind,had%20a%20portmanteau%20moniker%2C%20Brangelina.”>The Guardian</a>.</p>

<p id=”par-3_43″>“I’m not the kind of person who makes decisions like the decisions I had to make lightly. It took a lot for me to be in a position where I felt I had to separate from the father of my children,” she said.</p>

<p id=”par-4_44″>There were reports that an incident between Pitt, Jolie, and their family <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/brad-pitt-allegedly-caused-25000-worth-damage-angelina-jolie-plane-2016-outburst-according-fbi-records.html/”>on a plane</a> caused the <em>Maleficent </em>star to end her relationship with Pitt. A couple of years after their split, however, an insider claimed that Jolie couldn’t help but reevaluate her choices.</p>

<p id=”par-5_46″>“Lately, there are times when Angelina feels major regrets over ending things with Brad. There are days she can’t help but question if she made the right choices for her family. The more her anger at him fades the more she misses him,” the insider said.</p>

<p id=”par-6_19″>However, another insider report said Pitt wouldn’t be in the least bit interested in rekindling his marriage with Jolie.</p>

<p id=”par-7_75″>“Brad couldn’t care less about Angelina supposedly missing him, or regretting filing for divorce, that relationship is well and truly over as far as he’s concerned, and Brad has zero desire to revisit it, and give it a second shot,” the source said. “If he ever actually, truly, knew the real Angelina, because he never imagined that the woman he fell in love with and married could behave in the way she has toward him.”</p>

She was glad to see Pitt wasn’t at all who she thought he’d be.</p>

<p id=”par-9_83″>“Brad was a huge surprise to me,” Jolie once told <em>Vogue</em> (via <a href=”https://www.the-independent.com/news/people/angelina-jolie-and-the-interview-where-she-opened-up-about-falling-in-love-with-brad-pitt-a7321376.html”>The Independent</a>). “I think we were both the last two people who were looking for a relationship. I certainly wasn’t. I was quite content to be a single mom with Mad. And I didn’t know much about exactly where Brad was in his personal life. But it was clear he was with his best friend, someone he loves and respects. And so we were both living, I suppose, very full lives.”</p>

<p id=”par-10_22″>The impression that Pitt left on Jolie made the Oscar winner wonder if there was perhaps more between them than she realized.</p>

We just became kind of a pair. And it took until, really, the end of the shoot for us, I think, to realise that it might mean something more than we’d earlier allowed ourselves to believe,” she said.</p>
