Britain’s Got Talent star KSI has provoked fury after joking about hitting pregnant women.

The former boxer, rapper, YouTuber and BGT judge, 32, first appeared on the ITV competition in February 2025 as a guest panel member.

This year, he returned as the permanent replacement of departing judge Bruno Tonioli, who had left the show due to scheduling conflicts.

Before that, KSI first became famous in the early 2000s, creating hip-hop music and posting gaming videos to YouTube.

A video from 2017 has now resurfaced, in which KSI – real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji – jokingly refers to ‘punching’ the unborn baby of any woman he might get pregnant.

Although he maintained that he was ‘kidding,’ this exchange has drawn the ire of domestic violence campaigners.

In the video, KSI’s mother, Yinka Olatunji, presses upon him the importance of using a condom.

He then replies: ‘If she gets pregnant I’ll just punch the baby.’

When his mother tells him that he ‘can’t say that,’ he adds: ‘I’m kidding, I’m kidding, I’m not going to do that, Jesus.’

In response, Veronica Oakeshott of domestic violence charity Women’s Aid told The Sun: ‘Comments like this are never acceptable to make, even if it is meant as a joke.

‘It’s a sad truth that pregnant women are even more likely than other women to experience domestic abuse.

‘Such ‘jokes’ make this kind of criminal behaviour, which women do experience, seem less serious, and indeed life-threatening, than it is.’

A source close to KSI told the tabloid: ‘The video dates back nearly a decade and like many people — as they have grown older — KSI looks back on that time with deep regret and recognises his language was both stupid and wrong.

‘KSI has grown and matured significantly since then, and those words do not reflect whatsoever who he is today and the values he holds.’

The video was subsequently removed from KSI’s YouTube channel after The Sun approached the star for comment.

This isn’t the first time KSI’s past as a YouTuber has come back to haunt him

Most recently, this has included a 2023 incident in which he used a racial slur while participating in a Countdown-themed gameshow.

Before then, he became embroiled in a sexism scandal back in 2013, after making a series of lewd comments to women at a gaming convention.

This included asking one woman ‘where are your breasts?’

He was also criticised for videos where he called some women ‘sluts’ and was accused of trivialising rape.

In 2020, he admitted that he regretted some of his more vulgar YouTube videos.

He told he told The Guardian: ‘Obviously I’m not proud of it. But whenever you post something on the internet, it’s there forever.

‘So you can hide from it, pretend it doesn’t exist. Or, you know, hit it head on, realise why it was a mistake.’
