Britney Spears has shared a small glimpse into how she spends her time with her 18-year-old son Jayden, and fans are thrilled.
The pop star, 42, posted a video on June 9 of her son driving a convertible through the countryside and offered an update on his life, and her healing relationship with him, in the caption.
‘He is 6’3 and his hands are so big now !!! How long am I going to be in shock ??? It’s so incredibly crazy, it’s not even funny !!! I’m blessed !!! Just please be careful with my heart too !!!’ she said.
The Toxic singer shares two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline – Jayden and 19-year-old Sean – but has been estranged from the pair for several years.
Jayden and Sean both moved in with their father in Hawaii in 2023 and Britney has slowly been repairing her relationship with them ever since, including spending an emotional Christmas with them last year.
‘I haven’t seen my boys in 2 years!!! Tears of joy and literally in shock everyday… koo koo crazy so in love and blessed!!!’ she praised at the time.
Fans are thrilled to see the pair still spending time together, as one Reddit user wrote: ‘I hope they just genuinely get to know each other and support each other. Brit needs one real person in her corner. Would love if it were her son(s).’
And others pointed out how similar he looks to his mum.
‘He looks so much like her,’ AquarianFrog wrote.
‘The video preview showed just his face without the hair and i thought for a second this was an old video of Britney driving,’ not_your_guru added.
‘This is so great for them. It’s nice to see them spending time together and driving makes it even more special given that Britney has been vocal so many times about how driving gives her a sense of freedom,’ Socratease95 shared.
Although some shared their concern about him using a phone as he navigated the Californian roads.
The star first reunited with Jayden in November 2024, with a source telling Page Six: ‘Britney is thrilled to have her baby back,’ another source. Everything is moving in the right direction.’
Up until that month, Britney had been paying Kevin $10,000 (£7,840) biweekly in the form of child support with reports of that figure reaching as high as $40,000 (£31,400) when he received full custody.
Britney – who was in a whirlwind romance with Kevin from 2004 to 2007 – had previously spoken about what it means to be a mother to People in 2017.
She said: ‘There is nothing more rewarding than being a mom and watching my sons grow into young men. I am so lucky that I get to experience all of life’s adventures with them.’
