Kevin Federline has alleged that his ex-wife Britney Spears ‘punched’ their eldest son in the face.
The pair, who were married from 2004 – 2007, share two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.
The 47-year-old dancer, actor and DJ has levelled a series of major accusations at Spears, 43, in his upcoming memoir, titled You Thought You Knew.
This also includes the allegation that she would stand outside her children’s doorway as they slept, with ‘a knife in her hand.’
Spears denied these allegations on X, accusing her ex-husband of ‘gaslighting’ her.
New excerpts from the book, which is on release from October 21, claim that Preston told Federline that Spears ‘punched him in the face.’
According to Variety, the book details a series of accusations levelled at the Toxic and Hit Me Baby One More Time singer, regarding her ‘erratic’ behaviour toward her children.
This includes the claim that Preston told Federline that his mother had ‘punched him in the face’ – and that he once asked why Spears kept forcing him to bathe with her when he was ’10 or 11.’
Federline also alleges that Spears would bleach the boys’ hair down to the scalp, leaving them with burns.
Other incidents, which Federline says the brothers recorded on their phones, include Spears waking Jayden up at midnight to put lotion on his face, and verbally berating them.
He also claims that she fed Jayden shellfish, despite knowing that he was allergic to it.
Finally, Federline recalls an incident in which Preston went to Europe with his girlfriend’s family on vacation – during which he received a call from his mother, blaming Federline for everything.
‘She told him she wished he, his brother, and me were all dead,’ Federline writes.
Spears hit back at Federline’s previous accusations earlier this week, while also criticising her teenage sons’ recent lack of presence in her life.
‘The constant gaslighting from my ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting,’ she wrote on social media, ‘I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys.’
She continued: ‘Relationships with teenage boys is complex.
I have felt demoralized by this situation and have always asked and begged for them to be a part of my life.
‘Sadly, they have always witnessed the lack of respect shown by my own father for me. They need to take responsibility for themselves.’
She went on to outline the lack of contact she felt she’d had with her sons over the last five years, adding: ‘I have pride too.’
‘Trust me,’ she continued, ‘those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank and I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here.
‘I will always love them and if you really know me, you won’t pay attention to the tabloids of my mental health and drinking.’
She finished: ‘I am actually a pretty intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life the past 5 years. I speak on this because I have had enough and any real woman would do the same.’
In a lengthy follow-up tweet, she continued to deny Federline’s version of events, writing: ‘I 100 percent beg to differ the way he is literally attacking me in his interviews.’
Alleging that Federline was merely ‘trying to get paid,’ Spears asked: ‘why is HE SO ANGRY….’
She continued: ‘yes, they secretly love to cast me out and make me feel completely isolated,’ before sharing an incident in which she claims she was excluded from her son’s birthday celebrations at her Louisiana home.
A representative for Spears previously told Metro: ‘With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.
‘All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir.’
