Before Monday nightâs game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Chiefsâ social media team jumped on a viral trend. They shared a photo of Patrick Mahomes in a sharp white and red checkered suit, accompanied by a cheeky caption.
âSorry weâre late, QB1 was throwing a fit,â read the post.
While some fans rolled their eyes at the caption, Brittany Mahomes was all in. âThis caption got me 𤣠ð¤£ð¤£,â she commented.
The post came during a tense stretch for the Chiefs, who have had a roller coaster start to the 2025 NFL season. After opening with two losses, Kansas City entered Monday nightâs matchup at 2-2 against the Jaguars, who were 3-1 and riding a strong streak.
The game ended with a stunning finish. Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence tripped and fell, scrambled to his feet, and ran in for a one-yard touchdown with just 23 seconds left, sealing a 31-28 Jaguars win.
âWhat a crazy, crazy finish,â Lawrence said afterward, as teammates celebrated his 26th birthday in the locker room. The victory snapped Jacksonvilleâs eight-game losing streak to Kansas City and matched their win total from last season.
Despite the tough loss, Brittany kept her social media energy positive â both for her husband and for her famous friend.
Mrs. Mahomes Also Praised Taylor Swiftâs New Album
Brittany also celebrated Taylor Swiftâs latest musical era. Following the release of Swiftâs highly anticipated 12th album âThe Life of a Showgirl,â Brittany shared her excitement on Instagram.
â@taylorswift has done it again!â she wrote on Oct. 6, alongside a photo of album merch sent by Swift, with the title track playing in the background. âTruly one of the best to ever do it and keep doing it!â
The package included a sweatshirt, vinyl, and a handwritten note from Swift. âWell hi! If youâre reading this, youâre someone who has shown love, someone I admire, and ultimately someone Iâd want to celebrate with as we welcome The Life of a Showgirl into the world,â Swiftâs note read. âI hope you like these gifts and record! Despite rumors that Swiftâs song âCancelled!â might reference their friendship, Brittany and Swift have grown close since Swift began dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in 2023. Kelce has also praised Swiftâs new music.
âI keep listening to this album,â Travis Kelce told his brother Jason Kelce on their podcast âNew Heightsâ on Aug. 27. âI know she mentioned that itâs gonna be a lot more pop beats, but itâs just still so poetic in her melodies and her references and stuff. Itâs just so much fun to listen to, man.â
