Cassie Ventura has revealed that she got sores on her tongue and frequent urinary tract infections (UTIs) while taking part in ‘freak offs’ with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
The disgraced rapper’s trial began on Monday in New York, with his former partner beginning her testimony on Tuesday.
The 55-year-old is facing charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution – he has denied all allegations and could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted.
His family have been in the courtroom in support since proceedings began, but his daughters were not present today as Ventura, who is eight-and-a-half months pregnant, returned to the stand.
Addressing the court, the 38-year-old opened up about her 11-year, on-off romance with Combs, detailing the ‘freak offs’ – where he allegedly coerced multiple people into ‘elaborate and produced sex performances’.
He is said to have organized the incidents, while ‘directing, masturbating during and often electronically recording’ them – and forcing, or coercing, women to participate with male sex workers, who were reportedly flown in to take part.
After claiming that the sex parties could last up to 36 or 48 hours, with the longest taking four days, she spoke of the physical and mental toll they had on her.
According to multiple outlets, the Me & U singer said that she consumed several drugs to get through the events, telling the jury: ‘Opiates made me feel numb, which is why I relied on them so heavily.’
The court heard that she regularly suffered from gastrointestinal issues related to the drugs she took, as well as frequent ‘horrible’ UTIs from the sex sessions.
She would often have an infection during ‘freak offs’ but continued to perform in them, and claimed that typical medication stopped working.
At one point, Ventura reportedly had a text exchange with Combs, in which she told him that she had mouth sores that she attributed to activities during the marathon sex events, something her then-boyfriend appeared to apologize over.
She described the tongue sores as ‘stinging and uncomfortable’, claiming that they came from ‘the friction in my mouth’ during ‘freak offs’, and persistent substance use.
Judge Arun Subramanian has ruled that the jury will be shown videos of the ‘freak offs’, but the media are not able to view the footage.
Combs is facing five charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution, and has pleaded not guilty to all allegations.
Following jury selection, opening statements were heard on Monday with court proceedings expected to last several weeks.
The trial continues.
