Celebrity Traitors fans have all but figured out who will win after a final twist has prevented the traitors from committing one last murder.
The tense penultimate episode, which aired on Thursday night, was packed with shocking moments after Alan Carr perfectly executed a face-to-face murder as we said goodbye to Celia Imrie.
With the Faithfuls thoroughly bamboozled over how it was done, the remaining contestants – Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Nick Mohammed, Kate Garraway, David Olusoga and Joe Marler – were sent on another daring mission by Claudia Winkleman.
This time tasked with delivering the wax figureheads of their dearly departed co-stars through a labyrinth of lasers under the pressure of a ticking clock. No stress then!
As usual, however, all roads lead back to the roundtable where tensions were higher than ever – especially as it was the final one where the banished contestant would be able to reveal their true identity.
With the stakes higher than ever, despite their victory with Jonathan Ross the day before, the Faithfuls fumbled the bag and got rid of Kate, who quickly dashed their hopes of catching another traitor.
It was all looking up for the traitors until Claudia delivered a huge blow to their strategy. As the final five gathered around the fire pit, she confirmed there would be no murder that night.
Viewers were quick to pick up on the fact that with Joe convinced Alan and Cat are Traitors – and Nick his ride-or-die Faithful friend, this latest development has all but secured the Faithfuls a victory.
Especially since Nick and Joe need only convince David in order to vote the pair of traitors out. And Alan certainly didn’t help himself by laughing as he tried to tell the group he was, without a shadow of a doubt, a faithful.
‘There’s no way the Traitors win this now. If Joe, Nick and David have a hint of doubt then they’ll continue the game until Alan and Cat are gone,’ emlawrence wrote on X.
‘I think it’s pretty much nailed on that the Faithfuls have won,’ Tina shared.
‘The Faithfuls have won, the show’s over,’ Joshua echoed.
‘It’s gonna take an absolute miracle for Cat and/or Alan to win this now,’ callmeginge pointed out.
‘Noooooo, no murder means game over for Cat and Alan,’ es lamented.
‘Alan and Cat were great traitors but they’re about to get wiped out,’ Wiz agreed.
‘Well they’ve deffo lost. Faithfuls take the win I guess,’ bwxxx112 declared.
‘The Faithfuls will win now they have it, which is totally undeserved,’ Grase posed.
Although there are still some holding out hope that Cat and Alan can bring David over to their side. With the historian and presenter as the deciding vote, it is technically still all to play for.
Meanwhile, there is plenty of praise for Joe for cracking the case wide open in the first place, dubbing him a ‘brilliant faithful’.
Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a week to find out exactly how everything will play out – although it looks as though it will be worth the wait.
Celebrity Traitors finale airs on Thursday, November 6 at 9pm on BBC One.
