No, we’re still not over the Celebrity Traitors finale – but we could soon get another delightful slice of it on another BBC One show.

The backstabbing victor himself Alan Carr is reportedly being line up to step into Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly’s heels on the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom floor.

The comedian took home £87,500 for Neuroblastoma UK on Thursday night, after he hoodwinked the Faithful Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga into believing he was one of them.

The 49-year-old was a scene-stealer on Celebrity Traitors from the start, with his one-liners and inability to do anything treacherous without having a little giggle.

He could now be bringing that exuberance to take over from the Traitors’ host and Daly, who made a shock announcement last month that they will quit the job at the end of this series.

But it’s not just Strictly that Carr is said to be in the running for. His talk show Chatty Man is reportedly being eyed for a reboot.

The Channel 4 show, which aired from 2009 to 2017 and nabbed a Bafta for Best Entertainment Performance in 2013, would be hoping to capitalise on Carr’s popularity after millions tuned in to see him bag the win for the Traitors.

A source told The Mirror: ‘Alan’s comedy talents were showcased perfectly in the Traitors castle and it’s reminded many people just how funny he is.

‘Even people who claimed they didn’t like him before have loved watching him laugh and lie his way through the episodes.’

They added: ‘It would be no surprise if Chatty Man now got a reboot – not necessarily on Channel 4 – and the Beeb could do way worse than letting Alan loose in the ballroom. He’d be a hoot.’

It comes after contestant La Voix has been making a case for why they should be one of the names to take over hosting duties.

In one episode, La Voix made a joke with Winkleman about sending her CV to the BBC, before impersonating the host on screen.

She was praised by fans for her comic timing, and it’s left some wanting the Drag Race UK star to get the presenting gig.

Then during the Halloween special La Voix stood in Tess’ place as she announced her next dance, then looked to the presenter, asking: ‘How did I do?’. Tess replied: ‘Nailed it.’

So maybe it could be a pairing of Alan Carr and La Voix to take on Strictly.

Metro contacted Alan Carr’s representative and the BBC for comment.
