Charlize Theron appeared to ignore her former co-star Johnny Depp during an appearance at Paris Fashion Week.

The duo appeared in the 1999 film The Astronaut’s Wife together, in which they starred as a married couple.

But they looked more like strangers during the event, with Theron seemingly giving the actor the brush-off at a Dior showcase.

Depp, 62, is the face of Dior’s Savage aftershave, while Theron, 50, promoted J’Adore perfume for 20 years, which explains their high-profile appearances.

But footage circulating on social media shows the Hollywood heavyweights mere feet away from each other, with Depp appearing to start to initiate a greeting by stepping towards Theron.

After warmly embracing Brigitte Macron and Carla Bruni, she walks away without speaking to Depp, who was standing beside them.

‘Charlize Theron ignoring Johnny depp(whom she worked with on The astronaut) at the Dior fashion show is funny when u remember she liked that times article on instagram dragging him for his terrible behaviour,’ Erika wrote on X.

Nadine25399 added: ‘Ok that was actually quite satisfying to watch thank u for sharing 😭😂.’

Tigerfly Free speculated: ‘He felt that cold shoulder too. you can see him turn with her as she walked straight past.’

It comes during Depp’s return to Hollywood following his 2022 defamation trial against Amber Heard, which he won.

Depp was married to Heard, 39, between 2015 and 2017. When she filed for divorce, Heard accused him of domestic violence, which led to him being dropped by Disney after 14 years playing Captain Jack Sparrow.

The fallout involved two trials. In the first, Depp took action against The Sun for referring to him as a ‘wife-beater’, with his 2018 libel suit making it to court in summer 2020 and ending with the court deeming the characterisation to be ‘substantially true’.

A further legal battle followed when he successfully sued Heard over an article she wrote for The Washington Post, in which she shared her experiences as a survivor of domestic abuse. Depp’s lawyers said this falsely accused the actor himself of being an abuser.

After being ruled to be a victim of defamation, Depp was awarded approximately $15million (£12m) in damages.

Heard, who announced in May that she had welcomed twin babies, was awarded $2m (£1.5m) in compensatory damages.

He returned to Dior to represent Sauvage, as well as appearing in the 2023 French film Jeanne du Barry.

It has since been claimed that he could return to the Pirates franchise in his iconic role, according to producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Speaking about the script in development, he told Entertainment Weekly: ‘If he likes the way the part’s written, I think he would do it.’
