Christian Bale made a rare appearance with his entire family!
The “American Psycho” star showed up at the Dolce & Gabbanaâs Alta Moda couture show in Rome on Monday, July 15.
He was with his wife, Sandra âSibiâ BlažiÄ, and their two children. They are the parents of daughter Emmeline âLuka,â 20, and son Joseph, 10.
Bale was dressed in a single-breasted suit while Sibi wore a gorgeous long-sleeved black lace dress. She paired the look with a gold cross necklace and a black clutch. Sibi had her hair down in loose curls.
Luka wore a similar look as her mother, but had her hair pulled back into a sleek bun. She previously walked the show in August 2021.
Joseph matched his famous father’s look as well, but sported longer hair as Bale recently shaved his head for a role.
The family, dressed in all back, posed with designer Domenico Dolce in one of the images, according to Just Jared.
Other images showed Bale and Sibi walking prior to the event.
Bale & Sibi Relationship Timeline
The low-key couple has been together for a considerable amount of time. The two eloped on Jan. 29, 2000, in Las Vegas.
The two ended up meeting when Sibi was Winona Ryder’s assistant.
Bale wasn’t always sure he would get married, but it all changed when he met his now wife.
He told The Sydney Morning Herald in July 2012 how his views had changed.
“I never planned to marry. Everyone was divorced in my family so I didn’t have very healthy ideas about marriage,” he said. “Then I met Sibi and suddenly it seemed a fantastic idea.”
While Sibi worked as an assistant, she was also a makeup artist, model, and a stuntwoman. She ended up being a stunt driver while Bale played the role of Batman in the critically acclaimed 2008 “The Dark Knight.”
The 51-year-old spoke about working with his multitalented wife while speaking with The Wall Street Journal in December 2014.
“My wife was a stunt driver, she was chasing me through the city in ‘Batman.’ She was driving one of the cop cars,” he noted. “She can do 180s and stunts and all that. She terrifies me. My wife terrifies me.”
Bale Loves Being a Father
Though Bale rarely talks about his family, he has mentioned how much joy fatherhood brings him.
Years before the couple welcomed their son Joseph, Bale briefly told Esquire how happy he was in a November 2010 profile.
“I’ve got incredible pride for my family. I’ve absolutely fallen into that cliché of a dad who could just happily talk about my daughter endlessly,” he said.
Bale made sure to add that while he loves it, he wants his family life to remain private.
“But it’s not what I’m about in terms of being an actor. I don’t want people to know about that,” he concluded.
