Christopher Walken Stars in Saint Laurent’s Fall 2025 Menswear Campaign

At age 82, Christopher Walken is making his foray into the fashion world as a model for the iconic Saint Laurent brand. Walken stars in the fashion house’s 2025 fall menswear campaign looking fierce in a lambskin jacket, a crisply tailored shirt, and a smart striped tie.

Saint Laurent’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s casting for the campaign was on point, as Walken’s brooding expression exudes the cool, refined masculinity the brand is known for. The campaign will be featured in fashion publications, social media outlets, as well as the brand’s official website.

Walken’s presence in the Saint Laurent campaign is part of what appears to be a trend in terms of casting notable figures, especially those of a certain age, instead of traditional models. In previous campaigns for the Saint Laurent brand, Vaccarello has cast Michelle Pfeiffer at age 66 and Charlotte Rampling at age 78. 

Other fashion houses have also utilized well-known older actors in their ads, including Loewe who famously featured the late Dame Maggie Smith, who was 88 at the time, in a 2023 campaign. Brands such as Bottega Veneta have even featured figures outside the entertainment industry like novelist Zadie Smith who appeared in a 2025 campaign.

Christopher Walken is a veteran actor whose eclectic career dates back to 1953. He won an Academy Award for his performance in 1978’s “The Deer Hunter,” gained new fans with his appearance in Fatboy Slim’s “Weapon of Choice” video, and most recently starred in the critically acclaimed series “Severance.”

According to a 2022 interview with The New York Times, Walken was happy to keep working as an actor, although he is also a trained dancer, and he’s tried his hand at writing as well. “I sometimes think about writing something, but I don’t have much talent for that … There’s nothing I can be other than an actor,” he told the outlet. 

While Walken has played many complex characters throughout his career, he is a simple man at heart. He’s been married to his wife, Georgianne, since 1969, and truly enjoys the life he has created. “My bills are paid, my wife is healthy, the weather’s nice. That’s really all I care about: when, apropos of nothing, I happen to look out the window and think, ‘This is good,’” Walken shared.
