Dig your wellies out, because we’re going back to Clarkson’s Farm this summer for season five.
The hit Amazon Prime farming show, featuring everyone’s favourite Marmite petrolhead host Jeremy Clarkson, will be back in a matter of weeks.
The fourth season revolved around Clarkson and co’s battle with the West Oxfordshire district council as they tried to launch the gastropub, The Farmer’s Dog, as well as a shop and butcher’s.
The season chartered the myriad challenges with getting it all off the ground, and we now know that the fifth instalment has yet more chaos coming with Clarkson’s particular insight into the farming community.
Amazon Prime has shared a first look at this upcoming season, which will consist of eight new episodes. In it, Clarkson can be seen larking with a gaggle of happy-go-lucky ducks. What could it mean?
Rev up your tractor and let’s check back in on our favourite farm.
When is season 5 of Clarkson’s Farm coming out?
Season five of Clarkson’s Farm will return on June 3 on Amazon Prime. The eight-parter will drop in three batches over the summer, with the release schedule as follows:
- The first batch of episodes one through four on June 3.
- The second batch of episodes five and six on June 10.
- The final episodes seven and eight on June 17.
What do we know about the new season?
Some might say, diddly squat. There is only a vague-sounding synopsis at the moment, but we should get a trailer of some sort in the coming weeks.
The Kaleb Cooper hive was unhappy at the start of last season, after the farm manager vanished from initial episodes to complete a UK speaking tour. He was replaced by the newbie farmhand Harriet Cowan.
This season, it doesn’t sound like Kaleb’s exasperated presence is properly back at Clarkson’s right side. Instead, he’s off on his own version of The Grand Tour, while Clarkson sounds like he will be continuing his criticism of Keir Starmer’s government in the name of the farming community.
As the season five synopsis states: ‘Clarkson’s Farm is back, and amidst a government budget that sends the UK farming community into uproar, Jeremy decides some big changes are needed to make the farm run more smoothly.
‘But while the farm tries to go high-tech – resulting in Kaleb’s first ever trip abroad – even bigger developments are heading for Diddly Squat that are going to prove much more of a challenge.’
Where is Clarkson’s Farm?
Jeremy Clarkson’s pride and joy – Diddly Squat – is in the heart of the Cotswolds, in Oxfordshire. The full address is 5-12 Chipping Norton Road, Chadlington, Chipping Norton, OX7 3PE.
That’s around two hours by car from central London, one hour and 20 minutes from Birmingham or an hour and a half from Bristol. Oxford is the closest big city, just 40 minutes away by road.
For those looking to pick up a piece of Clarkson’s Farm to take home, there is honey, coffee and jam from the shop, plus a pint of Clarkson’s very own brewed beer in The Farmer’s Dog.
Clarkson’s Farm returns on Amazon Prime Video on June 3.
