As Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood approaches his 96th birthday, he’s still active but living a simpler lifestyle as he reflects on his lengthy career.
The actor has more than 60 years of experience and remains one of the biggest names in the film industry to this day.

Fans Still Admire Clint Eastwood After All This Time
Clint Eastwood Jr. was born on May 31, 1930, to parents Clinton and Ruth Eastwood in San Francisco, California. Though he turns 96 in just a few weeks, fans are as enamored with the A-lister as much as they were before.
“Handsome man then and now! â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸” the Clint Eastwood fan-made Instagram account posted this week. They posted an image of the actor in his youth next to one of him in recent years.
Although Eastwood has slowed down significantly, he still maintains a zest for life.
âHis filmmaking days are finally over. Clintâs main hobbies now are playing piano and making art for himself,” an insider told Closer Weekly.
âHeâs retreated to his beautiful homes far away from Tinseltown, and he doesnât seem interested at all with saying a grand goodbye or even looking back on the library of unforgettable films he has made,â the insider added. âBeing famous doesnât mean anything to him anymore.â
As of 2026, Clint Eastwood isn’t active on social media and isn’t known to give interviews. However, fans have kept up with his family life through his daughter, Francesca.
Last year on Instagram, she posted a sweet birthday wish to her father.
“Happy birthday Dad ð” Francesca wrote, attaching a photo of her father holding her child.
The Actor Pressed Onward After Losing His Girlfriend
At Clint Eastwood’s age, he’s seen many loved ones pass away. In 2024, he lost his girlfriend, Christina Sandera, 61, to a heart attack.
“Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,” Eastwood told PEOPLE about his girlfriend of 10 years. Although he misses his partner to this day, the actor’s son, Scott Eastwood, said his father is doing well.
âHe’s good. He’s doing good,â Scott Eastwood, 38, told PEOPLE. âHeâs a survivor, a trouper.â
The younger Eastwood insisted that resilience is just part of their family’s creed.
âItâs in our blood. You don’t complain. You don’t whine,” Scott shared, adding that in his family, “you just do.”
He noted that his famous father âwas born coming out of the Great Depression, and then he was young during World War II. He saw a lot of struggle.â
