A free streaming service has announced the launch of 16 new channels, bringing some of the nation’s favourite programmes to viewers.
First launched in April last year, Freely is a new TV service that gives users the ability to stream live and on-demand TV all in one place.
As the name suggests, the platform is completely free and is offered by various broadcasters without any subscription fees or bills.
Today, it has been revealed that the service is adding 16 new channels to their line-up, including three Channel 4 channels that you ‘won’t find anywhere else’.
Backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5, Freely will launch two ITV channels, including The Chase and Saturday Night Every Night, which is also on ITVX.
Also included with Freely will be 4Reality, featuring reality TV gold like Married at First Sight, and 4Homes, showing dream homes, renovations and design inspiration like with Grand Designs.

Six of these will be exclusive to Freely and My5, such as The Yorkshire Vet, GPs Behind Closed Doors and Milkshake.
Akhila Khanna, ITV Director of Distribution, said: ‘At ITV we’re proud to be part of Freely and making these channels available to the Freely TV Guide reinforces our commitment to delivering fantastic, free content through this innovative platform and showcases our continued collaboration with other leading UK broadcasters.’
This latest announcement from Freely comes after ITV announced that it will be shutting down one of its most popular channels after 11 years.
After launching in 2014, ITVBe – which features shows like The Only Way is Essex and The Real Housewives of Cheshire – will now move over to a ‘supercharged’ ITV2.
Instead, it will be rebranded as ITV Quiz in June 2025.
While it is not known what quiz shows will air on the channel, ITV is launching several new formats in recent years, including the You Bet! revival.
ITV2 has also been touted as ‘the UK’s most successful digital channel for 16-34s’ and is already home to shows like Olivia Attwood’s Price of Perfection.
Freely is free to sign up to and is available online.
