Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, has marked two years since her spinal surgery by sharing a heartfelt image with fans.
Brazilian-German singer, songwriter and music producer Jackie, 30, began dating Cruz, 21, in 2024, after first being spotted together at that year’s Glastonbury Music Festival.
By October, the pair were Instagram official, and Jackie has been a fixture in the Beckham household, through the ongoing feud between Brooklyn and his family.
This includes congratulating Victoria on her runway show at Paris Fashion Week in 2024 with a candid Instagram snap of the former Spice Girl.
Jackie has now shared a personal story of her own, posting a black-and-white snap of herself, wearing only a pair of jeans.
‘Your scars are sexy,’ reads the text over the image.
In the caption, Jackie wrote: ‘2 years ago today I had my full spinal fusion. never ever felt better and we love a cute scar.
‘just a lil wear & tear jeans are @goodamerican (happy 4th 🇺🇸!)’
Spinal fusion is a surgical procedure which aims to eliminate chronic pain and assist conditions like arthritis, fractures, or herniated discs.
It connects two or more vertebrae, eliminating motion and helping with stability.
Last year Jackie revealed that she had scoliosis, in which the spine curves sideways, causing an uneven posture and, in severe cases, chronic back pain and nerve compression.
The pictures shared by Jackie also included an X-ray comparison of her spine – before, and after the surgery.
The comments below Jackie’s post were full of appreciation for her vulnerability with omiatra describing herself as ‘so proud,’ adding: ‘scars don’t define a person they just make them even cooler.’
‘Scars are evidence we live a full life,’ said vivis_makeup, while curvaspine thanked her for being ‘an amazing advocate.’
‘We deserve recognition,’ agreed terezjam. ‘Thank you for spreading awareness!’
‘A true champion,’ commented alexaconnolly1.
Jackie previously spoke of the surgery on its first anniversary, last year. In a reflective post at the time, she described the two weeks of recovery as ‘absolute hell.’
Sharing a snap of her back in a gold dress, she wrote: ‘1 year ago today I had my scoliosis surgery so we’re celebrating with a big dress and an AI painting sitting here reflecting a little bit and weirdly I went into this day last year with zero fear.
‘I fully pranked my mind into thinking it was no big deal. The 2 weeks after that were absolute hell but I think what really kept me going was having something to go back to.
‘I was determined to be back in the studio no more than 1 month to the day post op. 25 days later we were back.
‘I would have never ever made it through those 2 weeks if I wasn’t surrounded by so much support and love. people go through far worse than this every day and in times where you’re physically and mentally weak you really realize what a crazy difference conversation and comfort can have on you.
‘Having someone check on you all the time, help you, love you. A year later, most days I forget I even did it.’
Jackie first met fellow musician Cruz after being ‘put in a studio together’ by their managers to collaborate on new music.
She told her followers:‘I left that day knowing you were an unbelievable musician but most importantly that you loved it so much from the bottom of your heart and you would never stop, regardless of what anyone else thought.’
Declaring his love on her birthday, Cruz shared a shot of her blowing out candles with the caption ‘Happy birthday xx I love you’.
