Dani Dyer has insisted she’s writing the rest of 2025 off after being forced to quit Strictly Come Dancing.
The 29-year-old former Love Island star couldn’t compete on the current series after suffering a nasty injury when she fractured her ankle during rehearsals.
The accident meant she didn’t make it to the first live show, and Dani has now declared she’s ‘done’ after the disappointment.
‘I’m just writing this year off,’ she told her mum Joanna.
During a lighthearted chat on the Live And Let Dyers podcast, she added: ‘I’m not being negative and I don’t want to be a negative Nancy, but I’m done now. I’m ready for January.’

The reality star’s mum was laughing, but told her daughter: ‘That is so selfish.’
Dani argued: ‘No I’m not angry, I’m just a bit… you know when someone comes up to you and they’re like “You alright babe?” I’m just like, “No not really.”‘
When Joanne suggested she’s ‘angry’, Dani explained she really just feels ‘a bit down’.
‘I’m just a bit gutted. I’m a bit down. I can’t do coffee dates at the minute,’ she said. ‘Nothing is fulfilling my needs at the moment. I don’t want to be negative.’
Dani previously admitted she was having the ‘best time’ preparing for Strictly, and she was gutted by her setback.
‘The doctor said to me, if I continue dancing on this foot, it’s not going to heal, it’s going to get worse and worse and worse,’ she told dad Danny.
‘It’s so hard because I was just having the best time of my life. I was so happy, I was so excited. The photoshoots, they’re the fun part, but I got my partner, I got Nikita [Kuzmin].’
Reflecting on the aftermath, Dani revealed how she felt like she would ‘just cry’ if anyone asked how she was.
‘It’s just been really testing my mental health,’ she told her famous dad, who had some strong but supportive words of advice.
He said: ‘What you’ve got to do is, which you have, is pull up them big girl knickers, and we f***ing get on with it. Because up to this point it’s been an incredible year!’
Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturdays and Sundays on BBC1.
