Did Prince Harry visit Baltimore just to eat at a famous local restaurant?

Prince Harry was in Washington, DC on Tuesday. He spoke at length at the IAPP Conference, all about internet privacy and the need for stricter guardrails on social media and beyond. This was not Harry’s first time in the DMV, but it looks like he stayed in the general area beyond his appearance at the conference. On Wednesday, Harry turned up in Baltimore, and we know this because he went to a local restaurant called Charleston. He took a photo with the head chef and owner, and she wrote: “Am thankful to have had the chance to cook for him at Charleston.”

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, visited Charleston, a popular, award-winning Baltimore eatery, while in the region this week, restaurant officials confirmed.

Owner Cindy Wolf, who was sharply dressed in a bold red chef jacket, stood next to the towering former Royal near the doorway of the Harbor East restaurant.

“Wow wow wow,” her caption read. “Hope to see you again.”

Prince Harry was in the region for the International Association of Privacy Professionals’ global summit on privacy, artificial intelligence governance and cybersecurity law in Washington, which kicked off Monday.

First of all, I’m staring respectfully at Harry’s shoes. Those look really expensive. That man married a millionaire actress and he immediately began upgrading his wardrobe. I never thought that Meghan would convince Harry to give up those fakakta suede shoes he used to wear constantly. As for the restaurant, of course I looked up the menu. It looks amazing, and now I wonder if Harry had the venison or the bison. Maybe he was in a seafood mood – grilled octopus, perhaps? Or the wild rockfish? Anyway, I wonder if Harry had other reasons for visiting Baltimore. I get the feeling that he travels around the US more often than we know.
