Disney icon Vanessa Hudgens is pregnant with her second baby!
The actress and singer, 36, has been married to former pro baseball player Cole Tucker, 29, since 2023, and they welcomed their first child last summer.
Now, the High School Musical star has confirmed their family is growing.
Taking to Instagram this afternoon with an adorable pregnancy photoshoot, she unveiled her growing bump in a boho-chic ensemble.
The smiley parents-to-be pointed at her belly, Cole placing a protective hand on Vanessa’s waist.
‘Round two!!!!’, her caption read.
Vanessa and Cole were quickly inundated with overjoyed congratulatory messages from their famous pals, with Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow writing: ‘Congrats!!!! Lucky kiddos 😍😍’
‘Amazing 🔥 congrats 👏👏👏’, commented Jay Shetty, who officiated Vanessa and Cole’s wedding two years ago.
‘Omg!!!!!!!! Congrats’, added Aly Michalka.
The announcement comes just days after Vanessa, who shot to global stardom as Gabriella Montez in Kenny Ortega’s hit franchise, confirmed her return to acting with her first role since becoming a mum.
Heading back into the spotlight, she recently wrapped production on Quiet Storm, which, according to Deadline, is a ‘film that takes place in the summer of 1969, as the infamous Hurricane Camille marks its tragic landfall.’
Vanessa ‘plays a romance novelist trapped indoors during the storm as she struggles to cope with the reality of an ever-changing world.’
The Princess Switch star’s start to motherhood was, unfortunately, a rocky one, as she had to issue a stern statement when confirming her baby’s arrival.
Last July, she and Cole were photographed leaving a hospital in Santa Monica, cradling their newborn.
Taking to Instagram shortly after the birth, Vanessa confirmed that while she was doing well, she felt ‘disrespected’ by the images, which Metro chose not to publish, being made public.
‘We’re disappointed that our family’s privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long-lens camera feeding the media,’ she wrote on her Story.
‘Despite all of that, mum, dad and baby are happy and healthy,’ she added.
Vanessa first announced her pregnancy at the 2024 Oscars as she arrived on the red carpet with her hands over her bump.
She and Cole have chosen to keep their little one out of the limelight by not sharing photos or intimate details of their family life.
Vanessa met Cole after ending her eight-year relationship with Elvis star Austin Butler in 2019.
They began dating in 2020 after initially meeting on a Zoom call for a group meditation session mid-pandemic, then married on December 2, 2023, in Tulum, Mexico.
Their nuptials were a starry affair, as the bride, wearing a silk Vera Wang gown, and groom had HSM co-stars Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel in attendance while exchanging personalised vows.
Speaking after the special day, Vanessa revealed that she ‘literally keeled over’ when she saw Cole that day.
‘[I] had to take a big breath and had to force myself to keep walking because I could have dropped to the floor,’ she told Vogue Magazine.
‘It was genuinely the most magical weekend of my life.’
Vanessa also previously dated her Disney co-star, Zac Efron, from 2005 to 2010.
