Ed Sheeran said he was in disbelief on Saturday when he was forced to cancel a show last minute.
The superstar singer, 32, was due to perform at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on Saturday but confirmed he would be cancelling with less than two hours to go until he was due to take to the stage.
Clearly distressed about the situation, doting dad Ed confirmed the show had a new date in October and let fans know their tickets would still be valid.
He also explained the reason behind the cancellation, revealing on social media that there were issues with the show’s ‘load’.
The award-winning crooner wrote in an Instagram statement: ‘I can’t believe I’m typing this but there’s been some challenges encountered during the load in of our Vegas show. It’s impossible to go forward with the show.’
Ed added: ‘I’m so sorry. I know everyone has travelled in for this and I wish I could change it. The gig will be postponed to Saturday October 28th and all purchased tickets will be valid for that date. I’m so, so sorry.’

According to the city’s Review Journal paper, Ed’s fans were all ready in line when he published the announcement.
‘After seeing the post, CJ Fuentes turned around and told everyone in line that the show had been cancelled. Fuentes’ announcement was how Steve Polevoi and his daughter, who were also in line, found out about the cancellation,’ the outlet reported.
Allegiant Stadium published its own statement on Saturday night.
It read: ‘Updates were communicated as quickly as possible to those waiting outside and via our social channels, website, and venue app.
‘Stadium doors were opened at 5:05 PM to get fans out of the heat and we have ensured that anyone requiring assistance has received it.’
Ed’s show will now take place on October 28 and all purchased tickets will be valid.
